Bowers & Wilkins PX7 Reviews

fits well

a little clumsy to put on the ears but once on fits well and controls easy to use. I prefer a wired connection rather than bluetooth however the 'phones need to be powered on to function. There is no pass through to direct wired connection which for me is unfortunate as in the powered mode they interfere with my hearing aids.

Great sound quality

Sound quality is amazing, especially if you're connecting via the audio cable into a dragonfly or similar DAC. Build is solid and they're comfortable.

Wonderful sound

These have wonderful sound, very clear, not excessive bass which messes up a lot of equipment nowadays, pretending that a lot of bass is necessary for quality. These phones are the real thing. Also, the controls are simple and intuitive, much better than the previous bluetooth phones I had which were gimmicky.

Great headphones

These are by far the nicest headphones I've had. The noise cancelling is outstanding, and the sound is top of the line.

Great with one device at a time

Battery life is fantastic. I have been using them for music and zoom type of meeting all year and were perfect (almost!). If you have 2 devices connected at the same time, which those headphones can handle, when the second device make a short sound, your current listening experience is interrupted. You comes back to your first device but very slowly. I wished they would play over the current device instead of cutting out the device you're listening. if you are using them with your laptop In a zoom meeting, if you're phone beeps, you will be missing a few things...

Great sound and comfortable to wear for a long time

Great feeling & looking cans but not to everyone's liking!

The headphones looks and feels great with a premium price tag. Sound is a perspective and this is my perspective about these cans. Pros: Good quality, looks and feels premium. Lightweight and can be worn for a long time. Neat case for protection unlike the bra's what Apple provide with their AirPods Max. 3.5mm cable included, which is a huge plus for an audiophile like me. Apple, take notice. Battery life is really good. Cons: Awfully heavy bass and treble boost which I am not a fan of. Due to the extreme treble boost, you get ear fatigue soon. The app from B&W is a hard pass, does nothing useful. There's no Parametric or Graphic EQ on the app. iOS and iPad OS customers beware! Buttons on the headphones are placed a bit awkwardly. I keep pressing the buttons when I try to adjust the fit of the headphones. Expensive for the quality of sound and awful app. Not Pro or Con: Confusing, yet great stereo imaging. Almost feels like there's some phasing issues. (need more time using this to confirm this). I was planning to return this and get the Audio Technica M50XBT2 but then I have a ton of mixing headphones and I am looking for something colored. I am keeping this because the Sony's were a little too hot on my ears and I personally prefer this material on the ear cups rather than faux leather. I personally hate Bose headphones. Other options to look at would be Shure, Marshall, Audio Technica, Razer.

Best sound by far for bluetooth with ANC

Tried the Sony and Sennheiser equivalents (XM4 and Momentum 3), and the sound profile on these is by far the most lively and enjoyable. Connectivity has had very small and completely manageable idiosyncrasies, but otherwise very solid performance and comfort. Not best for bass heads, read: the bass is tight, controlled and textured instead of slow, muddy and booming. Momentum 3 had great sound as well, but much more bulky feeling and loose on the head, so less ideal for traveling. Also their case is just a glorified stuff sack.

Are these low latency? Could I watch TV with lips matching dialogue?
Asked by: Ron
PX7 features AptX Adaptive which features low latency. However, the source device (phone, tv) also needs to support AptX low latency in order for that to work. Check your TV to see if it supports this feature.

Do these support aptx low latency? I know they say they have adaptive, but most sources don't yet have adaptive.
Asked by: Walt
If you mean Aptx Adaptive, yes, this is low latency, but most sources don't yet support Aptx-Adaptive. Aptx-LL is the more common low latency codec and is the OP's real question. Unless, there's been a recent firmware update, I don't think the PX7's have Aptx-LL.
