Although it's named after a small ferocious animal, the user-friendly Badger Beam 60W AC/DC LED Monolight from Interfit sports advanced features backed by a space-efficient 5 x 5 x 7" form factor, and a light weight of just 3.9 lb.
The Badger is as effective on location as in the studio, thanks to its integrated li-ion 2900mAh battery that provides 45 minutes of runtime on a two-hour charge. More good news is the capability to be powered by AC using the included AC power / battery charger. The Badger Beam has a daylight color balance of 5600K that is useful when you are shooting outdoors, in locations illuminated by large windows, or to match other day-balanced fixtures. The light's high CRI rating of 95 indicates advanced accuracy in color rendition.
The Badger is dimmable from 1 to 100% and cooled by a barely audible fan - a real plus in sound-sensitive environments. Another convenience feature is its Bowens S-Type front accessory mount that will accept not only Interfit accessories, but those of the many other manufacturers who use this popular mount. The light also has a pop-up softbox ring for an optional 24 x 24" softbox.
