CyberLink PowerDirector 19 Ultimate is a feature-packed prosumer video editing software offering numerous basic and advanced tools, such as frame-by-frame motion tracking, picture-in-picture and theme design, and distortion and other correction tools. The great thing about Cyberlink products is that you can download a 30-day trial of any of their software and take it for a test run and also see how the software performs on your computer -- as rendering and reliability are heavily dependent on the hardware you are using to run the software. CL19 Ultimate will be a one time buy and that may be all you ever need, but the reason most editing software options are going to subscription based protocols is that software technology is a constantly evolving world and buying a one time version will eventually be more stifling in terms of staying ahead of the curve. Cyberlink offers specific software options that is dedicated to authoring DVDs and we would recommend exploring those, as they tend to have better and more comprehensive features. All of these are highly user friendly and there is plenty of online and "in software" support should you get stuck on a particular challenge.
