Sporting a revised physical design, the FUJIFILM XF 10-24mm f/4 R OIS WR is a versatile wide-angle zoom now featuring robust weather sealing along with more intuitive handling. This 15-36mm-equivalent zoom is characterized by its constant f/4 maximum aperture and advanced optics, which utilize a series of extra-low dispersion and aspherical elements to correct both chromatic and spherical aberrations for high color accuracy, sharpness, and accurate rendering. Wide-angle zoom is designed for FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras and provides a 15-36mm equivalent focal length range.
Constant f/4 maximum aperture offers consistent performance throughout the zoom range and also helps to realize a relatively compact and lightweight design.
Four extra-low dispersion elements are used to reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations in order to produce high clarity and color fidelity throughout the zoom range.
Four aspherical elements control distortion and spherical aberrations, which helps to improve sharpness and realize more accurate rendering.
Super EBC coating has been applied to individual elements to reduce lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions.
Stepping motor, along with an internal focusing design, affords fast and near-silent autofocus performance that benefits both stills and video applications.
Optical image stabilization minimizes the appearance of camera shake by 3.5 stops to better enable handheld shooting with slower shutter speeds.
Rounded seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing out-of-focus quality to benefit the use of selective focus and shallow depth of field techniques.
Updated physical design incorporates a locking 'A' position on the aperture ring, along with a labeled f/stop scale, and both the aperture and focus rings have been reduced in size to help lessen overall the weight by 0.9 oz compared to the previous version of this focal length.
Weather-resistant design prevents dust and moisture from entering the lens and to enable worry-free use in inclement conditions and freezing temperatures as low as 14°F.

FUJIFILM XF 10-24mm f/4 R OIS WR Reviews

Great fun, beautiful shots

This zoom lens is the only one I need/want. Other zooms can easily be replaced with primes, saving weight but not money. There is no set of primes that cover the range of 10-24. It's not crazy expensive, is weather resistant, and the OIS makes things even easier on my X-T4. The photos I take with it are in reasonable light and without much motion so,F4 is no problem for me.

I wanted a wide zoom for my X-T4, and this one is lovely. It's lightweight, versatile, sharp, and smells great. AF is quick, and everything feels extremely well built, no surprise for Fuji. Good light is helpful given the relatively tight aperture, but outside in daylight or when you have a tripod it's perfect

Not Up to Expectations

I must admit to being somewhat disappointed after my recent evaluation of my new 10-24mm Fujinon lens. I'm not a techie with a lab, but this last weekend I made 111 shots on a tripod outdoors (no wind) using the self-timer to ensure no vibration from pressing the shutter on my Fuji X-T4. I mulled over returning the lens but after reading many online reviews it seems what I've found is characteristic of the lens. My 111 shots were made at a variety of focal lengths, from 10-24, with many in between. I'm not talking about edge softness. My eye focused primarily towards the center portions of the images, which contained a variety of buildings, signs, stone inscriptions on building fronts, and sometimes flowers in the foreground. I will try to avoid using this lens at f-16 or f-22. Yes, I know about diffraction. One wonders why they make lenses capable of f-22 or f-16 if the laws of physics are inevitably gong to render the images soft. I will only use these settings if required to achieve long exposure times to show flowing water or other blurred motion effects. Other reviewers confirm optimum performance at f-5.6 and f-8, and I agree. The lens has other positive features, commented on in online reviews. It is well-built, of good metal construction. I will keep it as I move from Canon to Fuji, to lighten my load.

Wide Enough, Pretty Good Aperture

I thought I wanted the 8-16mm f2.8 for that little bit of extra wide aperture and that little bit wider angle but of course, being twice the price stopped me. I wanted a wide angle but wasn't super invested in it. I was making my decision about the same time that this new version came out that is weather resistant. I like that added feature. So the lens. It is well built, metal, three rings. I'm sure that at some point that the plastic lens hood snaps will break and I'll have to find a metal one but it works for now. I've gotten some good pictures with it so far. Since it is so wide image shake isn't all that bad at all and coupled with image stabilization the fact that it is only an f4 lens never seems to matter too much. I also usually want more in focus since it is so wide that I frequently shoot at a smaller aperture anyway. It focuses pretty close but of course I'd like it to focus even closer on some occasions. The key to getting good pictures with such a wide lens is getting close. I've found that to be an interesting experience with this lens. It really brings the viewer in, if you get close to your subject. I like the quality, I like the quick focus, I like the aperture ring, I like the constant aperture (doesn't change through the zoom range) and I have enjoyed using it for a couple months for my wide angle needs.

Recently enter the Fuji world and bought this lens for my XT4. It's clear and sharp with little distortion. The size is nice as well. Very happy with it.

Great image quality. I love the fact that it's slightly lighter/smaller than the original version, which I briefly owned. Only complaint is that the OIS switch is gone and you have to enable/disable through the camera's menu system. Bring back the switch!

Perfect landscape lens

This is the one I have been searching for. There are many vide angle lenses out there for Fuji x that are good for landscapes but this one takes the cake.

It's Great!

I haven't used it very much yet but what I've seen to date impresses. It's part of my fujifilm X-T4 and X-H1 kit, along with the 16-80, 70-300 and both Teleconverters. Plus a couple of primes. That's an equivalent range of 15mm to over 900mm the smaller collective size is why I left Nikon . The crop sensor works well with my Enthusiast level of photography. Great service from BH Photo, as always. My main photo shop for over 15 years. I tried to upload photos but was unable to.
