These lenses vs the Rokinin cine lenses? What would the difference be exactly?
Asked by: Benjamin
The Rokinon's have faster apertures The Meike lenses are smaller and have longer focus throws (which makes them more accurate to focus). It is also worth noting that Rokinon has several lines of cinema lenses from their DS series to their Xeen and Xeen CF. The Meike are closest to the Xeen CF in build quality. The Meike are compact sturdy lenses.

if the t stop is T2.1, is the f stop f1.8?

if the t stop is T2.1, is the f stop f1.8?
Asked by: Brenton
There isn't a constant F to T-stop conversion ratio since the T-stop is a measurement of the light being passed through the lens where as the F-stop is the size of the opening of the aperture. The F stop is only dependent on distance while the T stop is effected by all the things that change the amount of light passing through the lens to the sensor. But it is safe to assume that the F-stop is going to be a smaller number than the T-stop.

Can you give me some sense of the problems of using this FF lens on the C70?
Asked by: Brad
There will be no issues or problems using the Meike 50mm T2.1 FF-Prime Cine Lens (RF-Mount) full frame lens on the Canon C70. Please note it will crop about 1.5x when used with the C70s S35 sensor. Any RF lens you work with will have this crop ( Zoom) The lens will have a 75mm view when used on the Canon C70 camera.
