Yes you can buy cheaper elsewhere, but you spent all this money on your camera. You spent all this time and energy (and more money) to get the shot. Spend the money and get a fast reliable transfer. Don't need to be a DIT to invest in these. Make your life easier, save the time and money in the long run - buy once.

I love the reader works like a charm. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't want to work with my other usb-v cables that i have and the one it came with is quite short so as soon as I realized it I started wondering what would happen if I loose the only one working... :D Need to verify which kind of cable does it work with. I guess it requires usb 3.2 gen 2 compatible cable to work.

I have three different brands of cfexpress A card readers and like this one the best (though Lexar is good too; Sony is a bit heavy and bulky and gets hot while these don't). Yes, it has a magnetic bottom intentionally so it can be fixed to the back of your laptop to keep it from falling or getting forgotten and left behind. It does not appear strong enough to damage any hard drives and I've never had an issue.

Prograde type card reads only at 250 mb/sec through USB-C 3.1 Gen 1. It should be close to 800 mb/sec. Why so slow?
