Vienna Symphonic Library Full Reviews

Superbly sampled but the Bösendorfer sound bothers me

This is my sixth virtual piano. I previously had the Vienna Symphonic Library Imperial, of of which this is an improvement. But this one has more of a Bösendorfer flavor — the previous one seemed more neutral — and it also has a brittle quality at the higher velocities. I've done endless amounts of tweaking but I'm still not satisfied. I plan to try their Steinway which, at the moment, B&H does not carry on its own. Many others think this piano is wonderful. In a way it is: I feel like I'm sitting right at this keyboard hearing all the harmonics of every note.
