Vienna Symphonic Library Big Bang Orchestra: Orion is a virtual instrument with a library consisting of the four classic woodwind ensemble sections (flutes, oboes, clarinets, and bassoons) with three musicians per section playing in unison at Synchron Stage Vienna. A perfect complement to the BBO: Neptune Tutti Woodwinds, this library expands the series with varied and colorful woodwind sounds ideal for creating warm and melancholic statements effortlessly and quickly right out of the box—great for authentic film and game scoring, trailer music, and sound design.
Big Bang Orchestra: Orion includes a wealth of articulations with a special focus on the beautifully performed legatos that are available in two variations: regular and espressivo. Other playing techniques include short notes, long notes, repetitions, espressivo, soft swells, sforzando, sforzatissimo, crescendos, flutter tongues (for flutes and clarinets), and fast repetitions. These are available in three tempos (120, 140, 160 BPM) and can also be synced to your host tempo using the included Synchron Player's time-stretch feature.
For each ensemble, all three musicians performed together and were recorded with an array of microphones including individual close mics for each ensemble, mid mics, Decca tree (left-center-right), surround, and high surround outriggers. This gives you more control and more creative options when mixing your sound using the Synchron Player's internal mixer.
The software is compatible with Mac and Windows. It runs as standalone software or operates in AU, VST, and AAX formats. Big Bang Orchestra: Orion integrates perfectly with every module in the BBO series.
