Vienna Symphonic Library Big Bang Orchestra: Regulus is a virtual instrument with a library consisting of string effects and unusual playing techniques including pulsating patterns, suspense-packed tensions, ethereal pads, and more, all played by large 50-piece string ensemble (divided in six sections) at Synchron Stage Vienna. A perfect addition to the BBO: Lyra and BBO: Musca Low Strings, it expands the series with ready-to-use phrases—from lightly bowed whispers to rumbling swarms—ideal for creating tonal and atonal textures out of the box for film and game scoring, trailer music, and sound design.
Big Bang Orchestra: Regulus offers production-ready musical elements, which include spherical textures, character textures, glissandos, risers, hits, clusters, harmonic effects, pizzicato effects, special pads, and inspiration crossfades. These can all be combined using the included Synchron player, allowing you to create your personal, unique tone.
Using 50 microphones to capture an array of positions, from close to ambient, the Synchron Player's integrated mixer presents you with 16 channels that offer close mic signals of each section, front and back mics, Decca tree, main surround, and high surround signals. A host of judiciously balanced mixer presets is readily available, from optimized stereo room mixes to immersive surround audio.
The software is compatible with Mac and Windows and operates in AU, VST, and AAX formats. Regulus integrates perfectly with every module in the BBO series.
