Available for download, Overloud Choptones Brit JMP71 offers the sound of a classic British powerhouse amplifier for the Overloud TH-U software platform. Also included are cabinet emulations and pedal models. The amplifier, cabinets, stompboxes, and microphones used were emulated by Choptones, a company known for its emulations ported to multiple platforms.
This particular expansion library recreates the sound of a 1971 Marshall JMP 100W amplifier in all of its four-channel, plexi glory. Many people consider this amp to be a part of hard rock's archetypical sound, and Choptones has modeled all four of its inputs in all of its tonal and sensitivity variants, including bridged-input configurations.
The engineers modeled this amplifier in multiple configurations using a wide array of cabinets, microphones, and stompboxes. Cabinets from Marshall, EVH, Orange, and Mesa Boogie were used. The 133 rigs offered in total, captured with Shure, Royer, Sennheiser, Neumann, and other microphones used. A number of pedals have been emulated as well to drive the amp, including selections from Boss, Ibanez, and other noted manufacturers. Please note, this expansion library requires either a full installation of Overloud TH-U or one of its editions to operate.
