Will this mic work on an iphone with 3rd party ...
Will this mic work on an iphone with 3rd party video apps like, Moza genie, Dji or other gimbal manufacturers?
As two separate mics going bluetooth to the phone, no. That can only be achieved using their specific app for recording. As a single mic when set into Transmitter/ Receiver mode, then you could buy using a TRs to TRRS cable and the required headset adapter for your phone. Here's an example of the cable required for the receiver B&H # ROSC7.

Can these two pair in transmitter and receiver mode, so audio can be fed into a camera?
Yes, you can use the two SmartMike+ units in Transmitter/Receiver Mode as a single-channel wireless mic system for a camera. You will need to use a cable with a 3.5mm TRRS connector on one end and a 3.5mm TRS connector on the other end, like the Rode SC7 (B&H # ROSC7). Connect the TRRS end to the SmartMike+ unit that is set up as your receiver and then connect the TRS end to the camera's mic input.

Will this replace phone's microphone while using Merlin Sound ID app so I can clip microphone to hat and put phone in pocket?
The Sabinetek SmartMike+ Bluetooth Microphone is compatible for use with Android and iOS smartphones and tablets, but we cannot confirm whether or not a Bluetooth mic is also compatible with the Sound ID feature on the Merlin Bird ID app. If you have another Bluetooth mic that you can use to test with the app, even the built-in mic on a headset like Apple AirPods, that would help to determine whether the app will work with a Bluetooth microphone.
