The lightweight Camera Cage for FUJIFILM X-S10 Camera from SmallRig conforms to your camera without obstructing its cold shoe or any of the camera's functions. It protects from the rigors of the production day, and it allows you to mount accessories without stressing your camera's body. Your camera mounts onto the aluminum cage with a 1/4"-20 screw, and an included M2 screw locks your camera to the cage via the camera's right-side eyelet. The integrated rubber pad on the base helps minimize metal-to-metal contact.
In addition to one integrated shoe mount and multiple 1/4"-20 accessory mounting threads, the cage features 3/8"-16 threaded holes with ARRI-style anti-twist divots. A NATO rail is cleverly machined into the left-side riser of the cage for mounting optional accessories such SmallRig's Side Handle 2817. An Arca-Swiss plate is machined into the base for quick mounting, or you can attach an optional camera plate to match your tripod via the 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded mounting holes machined into the base. A combination flat head screwdriver/Allen wrench magnetically stores on the bottom.

An Excellent Fit
This cage from SmallRig seems to fit just right. The cage comes in very handy for attaching Mics and Handles. It will also protect your camera from certain unintentional bumps and falls.
Quite Nice
Overall I am very pleased with this item. If you are looking for a solution to mount video accessories to your X-S10, this is exactly what you are after. Fitment is excellent, and you can put the camera in the cage with most lenses installed. The cage allows access to the battery, the SD card, and all controls, though it does obstruct the pop-up flash and the right neck strap connector. The hole in this connector stud is threaded on the X-S10, and Smallrig is using this threading to provide a second point of fixation to prevent twisting. This works very well but at the significant cost of preventing you from keeping a neck strap on the camera. The cage doesn't contact the left neck strap stud, so you can keep a strap of some kind connected here if you want to. Obviously, if you are not taking the camera out of the cage, all of this is a non-issue, as the cage itself includes points to attach a neck strap. Coming from a Smallrig Versacage this camera-specific cage is much, much smaller, slicker, and sleeker. Unlike the Versacage, this leaves the hotshoe open, which is a tremendous advantage. I love the integral Arca baseplate. Threaded connections are ample for my needs. I have a top handle and a side handle mounted, my monitor goes on the top handle, and I use the additional coldshoe on the cage for my mic. This product is flush with small, thoughtful details. There is a on-center marking on the front and back, making up nicely for the off-center tripod mount on the X-S10. All the edges are nicely chamfered. The anodizing is even and attractive. A tool to screw down the threaded connectors stows neatly via magnets. There is even a place to park the little M2 screw for the neck strap stud when you aren't using it. Overall, this is a very high-quality piece of gear at a very fair price. In days of yore, this kind of specialty equipment would cost an arm and a leg, if you could come but it at all. It's very cool to see it so readily accessible and fairly priced.
