Reliability, flexibility, and accuracy are the hallmarks of the H520E RTK Commercial Hexacopter from YUNEEC, making it an ideal UAV solution for commercial and public service applications. The drone sports six rotors, an ultrasonic obstacle avoidance system, a fail-safe battery, and return-to-home functions, but its main feature is an RTK (Real Time Kinematics) system for centimeter-level accuracy in air positioning when extreme precision is integral, such as with inspections and mapping missions.
An array of compatible payloads (no payload is included) are available to match your specific needs. Choose from thermal imaging that can see through smoke to help in rescue efforts, zoom cameras for conducting inspections at a safe distance, or a still/video solution for mapping and aerial imaging. The included ST16E remote controller with YUNEEC DataPilot software is at the heart of making the drone and payload come to life. Plan waypoint flights offline to load into the remote, create maps and 3D scans, view live footage, and more.
The RTK system is engineered to provide this kind of accuracy in as little as 30 seconds, even under challenging GPS conditions. If you'd like, you can utilize RTK functionality without a base station over a network RTK reference station, which would require an internet connection and a 3rd-party provider that could result in additional fees.
If GPS signal conditions are so bad that RTK usage is not possible, you can also use the H520E RTK drone for PPK (Post-Processed Kinematics). As its name implies, PPK uses the raw GNSS data stored onboard the drone via YUNEEC's DataPilot to make corrections and provide precise results after the flight is completed. Additional RTK features of this drone include a 5 Hz update rate of position, velocity, and time, and support for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou GNSS constellations.
With user-defined frontlap/sidelap, pilots can auto-generate survey paths and cross-hatching for 3D and large-format image output. If you're in an area with no connectivity, created and premade maps with waypoints can be stored/cached for access in the field. When missions need to be repeated, such as with inspections, flights can be stored for later recall. Missions made with DataPilot can be transferred to the ST16E via email, thumb drive, or microSD card.
