CAME-TV Mini-99 Overview

Add a lightweight battery to your small camera rig with this Mini 99 Lightweight V-Mount Battery from CAME-TV. This compact V-mount battery features a 99Wh capacity provided by eight internal 18650 Samsung rechargeable battery cells.

The 14.4V battery pack can power your camera and equipment using its two 14.4V D-Tap outputs and one 5V USB Type-A output for smaller gear such as a smartphone or tablet. The battery can also power your camera or gear using its integrated V-mount, or it can hang on a stand or rig using the included lanyard. The battery can be charged using a separately available V-mount battery charger.

I ordered these batteries so that I could keep my A7sIII build lightweight while running camera and accessories off of V-mount battery power. The batteries are exactly what I needed: small, lightweight, and long-lasting at 99wH. The problem that keeps it at 4 stars instead of 5? The two P-tap ports on the side of the battery are VERY loose. They're cut too wide, so a P-tap cable plugged in slips out with minimal pressure. My camera and recorder are patched into the ports on the Came-TV mini V-mount plate, which are both cut properly, and my Hollyland Mars gets patched into the side of the battery and I try to be veeery careful not to accidentally jostle it loose. I don't want to buy a P-tap splitter as I'm trying to keep my build minimal, and I feel I shouldn't have to. The ports shouldn't be as loose as they are. I do recommend these batteries highly, but if you can avoid patching any P-taps directly into the battery, do so, as these ports are loose and thus prone to failure.

Smallest V-Mount 99WH out there. Wow.

These batteries are insane for the price. They are so small and work fantastic. I have compared many different brands of the minis and they dont get smaller than these for 99WH!

No, The Mini 99 Lightweight V-Mount Battery from CAME-TV does not have regulated ports. Came-TV lists the specifications of each port as - BP Electrode Interface 14.4V 15A(Max) D-Tap 14.4V 15A(Max) USB 5V 2.1A

The single battery configuration does not include a charger. The 2-battery pack with charger comes with a charger.

Can this battery be used to power a Sony A7S III via usb-a to usb-c?

You can power the A7SIII via USB-A to USB-C, but you must have a battery in the camera. This is the safest way to use this when doing any type of shooting. With this method, you dont run the risk of accidentally corrupting your recording should the usb cable become detached from either end because the separate battery is still in the camera. If you use a dummy battery to D-Tap, it works fine but you run the risk that if you either disconnect the dummy battery or the d-tap mid recording, your video will become corrupted and will be gone.
