Covering a versatile wide-angle range, the Nikon F-mount atx-i 17-35mm f/4 FF, from Tokina, is an ultra-wide zoom that is well-suited for a variety of subjects, ranging from landscape to architecture to astrophotography. An advanced optical design incorporates a series of aspherical and low dispersion elements, which suppress a variety of aberrations for improved sharpness and clarity. Individual elements are also multi-coated to resist flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color accuracy when working in bright or backlit conditions. Complementing the optics, this lens features a One-Touch Focus Clutch Mechanism for fast changing between AF and MF settings, and an internal focusing design is used for responsive focusing performance.

Tokina atx-i 17-35mm f/4 Reviews
WOW !!!!!
was not sure about this lenses... it blow my mind off !!! sharp, ultra-fast, price.... it's my best acquisition this year ! simply .... WOW !!!
High quality photos, very happy with this lens.
Pictures are sharp to the edges and have very little distortion. There is some slight curving in lines near the edge of the frame from 17mm to around 20mm that I notice only when these lines are very parallel to the frame edge. At 24mm there is no distortion. When I was evaluating which ultra wide-angle lens to buy I noticed that a few other lenses sometimes tend to pinch the center and stretch the edges of a scene in a somewhat unnatural rendering, whereas this Tokina is free of this effect. I did a real estate job with this lens (very recent purchase) on a Nikon D750 and while most of the interior shots were made in the 18-25mm range the photos are beautiful. I get clean wide views with low distortion and excellent image quality from a nicely built, light weight lens at an affordable price. Not trying to pitch an ad, just quite glad I chose this because of these reasons.
Affordable wide angle lens
Recently went on the search for a wide angle lens I could do some RE shoots, astro/landscapes etc.. Looked at all of the offerings and went with this lens after seeing some glowing reviews. So far I've been very impressed with the quality of this lens. Pairs well with a high megapixel camera for sure. Of course there is some distortion at 17mm, but it's easily fixed in post and if you know you're going to have to crop it a bit afterwards you can plan your shots accordingly.
