The FJ200 has a 9-stop power range in 0.1 stop increments and recycles in a fast 0.5 to 1.3 seconds. What are the flash durations at each power level?
What are the flash durations at each power level?
Westcott does not list the flash duration of the Westcott FJ200 Strobe at all power settings. They only list the maximum and minimum flash duration, showing the t0.1 flash duration measurement (when the light is emitting 90% of total light) in normal mode is 1/260 second at full power and 1/2600 second at minimum power, and in freeze mode, the flash duration at minimum output is 1/7000 second. At the t0.5 measurement (when the light is emitting 50% of total light), at normal mode, the flash duration would be 1/800 second at full power and 1/8000 second at minimum output power, while at freeze mode, the duration at minimum output would be 1/20,000 second. For flash duration measurement at other output settings, you would have to contact Westcott directly by e-mailing them at [email protected] or by calling them toll-free at 1-800-886-1689 Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm ET.

what softbox can I use this light? I have 2 FJ200s and the bowens bracket also.
If you already own the Westcott Quick Mount S-Bracket, B&H # WE2543, for use with the Westcott FJ200 Strobe, you may use any softbox that uses the Bowens S-mount speed ring. The following link are softboxes that would be compatible for use with the above bracket. https://bhpho.to/3CTACF3 As the Westcott FJ200 Strobe also has an umbrella receptacle, the umbrella-mount softboxes on the following link would also be compatible for your usage needs. https://bhpho.to/46rwppF

Can this work as a slave ?
Can this work as a slave ?
If the Westcott FJ200 Strobe is set to Manual mode, you may use the built-in optical sensor to fire the strobe once it detects the light output from another photographic strobe/flash. Likewise, if you connect the Westcott FJ-X2m Universal Flash Trigger to your camera's hot shoe, you may wirelessly trigger the Westcott FJ200 using the wireless radio remote as the FJ200 has a built-in integrated FJ Wireless Flash System radio receiver.

Somebody asked if this uses a Bowens mount and someone replied yes. But I watched an FStoppers video for this light and Lee said it uses a smaller proprietary mount. This looks very similar to the new Godox AD300 Pro which uses a proprietary Godox mount. So which mount is this light actually using? Could it be the same as the AD300 Pro?
Correct..the FJ200 (Jinbei HD-200pro) does not have a Bowens mount..
The mount is a 72mm diameter fitting with 4 locking tabs, as opposed to the full sized Bowens mount that has only 3 tabs.
