What is closest focusing distance? I need webcam capable to focus on at least 4 inches, closer would be ideal. Can you please recommend any?
The Logitech C920e 1080p Business Webcam would be okay. However at the focusing distance of 4 inches a microscope could possibly offer better results.

Is this model the successor to the C930e? This model is more affordable yet comes with the privacy shutter -- so what was cut back? Specs appear similar besides the narrower FOV.
Hello, the major differences between the C920e and the C930e is as follows: C930e has a 90 degree fov; C920e has a 78 degree fov. C930e has a 4X digital zoom; the C920e has a 1X digital zoom. Lastly, the C930e is capable of H.264 video compression; the C920e is not capable of this. Have a great day.
