Godox V860III Overview

Power, speed, and integrated radio transmission make the Ving V860III TTL Li-Ion Flash Kit from Godox a hard-to-beat option for your Canon cameras. Fully compatible with TTL systems, the Ving V860III supports many advanced functions and features. Also, it features the Godox X wireless radio system, which provides both master and slave TTL functionality at a distance. On top of this, the flash is powerful and versatile, featuring a guide number of 197' at ISO 100 and 200mm along with a zoom range of 20-200mm. And this flash runs off a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack that ensures fast recharge with a capacity of up to 480 full-power flashes.

For general operation, the Ving V860III features full bounce flash capabilities, including tilting and rotation left and right. As a TTL-compatible unit, this flash offers support for high-speed sync, flash exposure compensation, 1st and 2nd curtain sync, and much more. Additionally, it can function as an optical master or slave unit if needed.

I have recently purchased two Godox V860lllc for my Canon 5D MK lV and spent some time familiarizing myself with the controls. The test came when I covered a product release event a few days ago and required the use of both speedlites for some presentations. The 860lll performed flawlessly and never misfired. The off camera lite (main) was about 50 feet away and performed perfectly. I was photographing with TTL and was able to control the output of the main light's exposure compensation control, when needed through the on camera flash menu. Very intuitive and easy to navigate. While I brought extra batteries for each flash I never had to replace them while making approximately 400 exposures. and very quick recycling, too.

I've been really happy with this Flash thus far, with only a two things to note (and the reasons that I deducted a star). 1) the small metal components of the side of the hot shoe that slide into my sony hot shoe both broke off randomly. Fortunately the flash was still under warranty, so I contacted B&H and sent it in for repair and was sent a brand new flash. Maybe I just had a defected flash, only time will tell. 2) Sometimes the flash grossly overexposes if against anything white. Example - I was photographing a wedding cake table and had a very hard time taking pictures of the pieces of cake on the table without standing 10-15 feet away. Other than these two things, it's been really great!

Being that the EOS R7 has a slightly different hot shoe, you could use the Canon AD-E1 Multi-Function Shoe Adapter in order to use the VING V860 IIIC. https://bhpho.to/3V0nhCr

Yes, Godox Ving V860III TTL Li-Ion Flash Kit for Nikon Cameras is compatible with your Nikon D3S DSLR. The hot shoe is the same as the one in Nikon Speedlights. Please make sure you select the flash unit dedicated to Nikon Hotshoe since there are multiple selections under the same model.

It is INSANE that Godox does not include this feature in their flashes! We literally have to stack a V1 on top of an R2-T2 transmitter which is so ridiculous.

Will the V860 III-N work on an Olympus OM-D E0M5? Having last minute camera issues and wonder if the one I bought for my Nikon will work on the Olympus.

The Godox Ving V860III TTL Li-Ion Flash for Nikon cameras will work in Manual mode with an Olympus camera, but not with TTL flash exposure.
