Add this E-mount 50mm T2.2 Manual Focus Cinema Prime Lens from Meike to your Sony camera kit for a bright cine prime suitable for Super35/APS-C high-resolution cine cameras. The lens produces results with low distortion, while its multilayer coating reduces flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color accuracy. The fast T2.2 aperture allows working in difficult lighting conditions and offers increased control over depth of field, allowing for smooth, circular bokeh, and it has little flaring and little to no focus breathing.
The lens features an 80mm outer diameter and accommodates a 77mm filter with its front thread. With an all-metal housing, this manual focus lens also has a robust design. The lens is designed with focus and aperture markings on both sides of the lens.

Meike MK-50mm T2.2 Cine Reviews
Great lens for BlackMagic camera
Works great on my BMC 4K
Very nice
Has a nice cold heavy feel in your hand, snaps on to the camera and really gets in there. I use this indoors to shoot art with zero distortion. Love it. It pairs wonderfully with my Z-CAM E2C, and makes for some great 4k footage
Exceeded expectations!
Awesome lens to have with an entre cinema camera! I would say it worth the price but is too cheap for its quality! Keep in mind that because of the MFT mount, the angle of view is narrower than normal 50 mm, so if you're looking for something similar as a full frame 50, maybe go with the 35mm. Either way it's and excellent lens!
Meike is the new Veydra
After Veydra shut down the market for relatively inexpensive MFT Cinema Primes got even smaller. Meike has stepped in to take over that niche. The Meike 50mm is a solid, well built lens that gives a lot of bang-for-the-buck. I use it with the Blackmagic 4K Pocket Cinema Camera and it works great. I plan on acquiring a full set of Meike Cinema lenses. Prime lenses are the building blocks of Cinema Grammar and any true filmmaker should aspire to own a set. Zooms are for children...
Very sharp
It's very sharp and beautiful. The out-of-focus state is also very beautiful. The smoothness of focus movement unique to cinema lenses is good.
Meike - the AK-47 of Cinema Primes
Look, if you are a filmmaker shooting with an MFT camera you need Prime lenses. Not just any Prime lenses, but Cinema Primes geared for follow-focus units. Zooms are for people who can't make up their minds. Don't be that guy/gal. Call out: Put on the 50! with confidence and vigor. Now that Veydra has disappeared in a cloud of mystery there really aren't that many choices for MFT Cinema Primes. Along comes Meike with their $400 primes and they change the game. Are these lenses the same quality as a Leica Summicron-C? Of course not, but the 50mm Summicron-C costs $13,300.00. For day-to-day use the Meike lenses are fine. The 50mm is sharp and works very well. Plus, it won't break the bank...
A lens that doesn't distract from story
Rented this and the 16mm for a shoot and was not blown away by sharpness. But what I WAS blown away by was the cleanness of the Bokeh. No LOCA (purple/green fringing). No focus breathing. And a very deep roll-off for out-of-focus areas. Oh, and they're machined excellently. The 270-degree rotation for focus means you have a lot of control of where to park your focus. In short, the image doesn't draw attention to yourself. It's free of distractions or imperfections or even incredible sharpness. For narratives, that's a good thing. Solid, fundamental glass that can get the job done and let the story be told.
What I expected
Fantastic lens. Nothing to complain about. I use it to photograph artwork indoors. Zero distortion makes this lens ideal for my purposes
