Accsoon CineEye 2 Reviews

Works out of the Box!

Works right out of the box. App is pretty good too. Quality of stream is 1080p and is good quality. You can record straight to your phone and iPad. I really had no issues. I'm running 4k HDMI out from the Fuji XT3 to Atmos Ninja , then 1080p HDMI into the Wireless CineEye2 from the Atmos. I tried a couple of other brands but could not get them to work with the Ninja. Not sure why. A small book come with the CineEye with instructions. I'm thinking about getting a 2nd one because we do a lot of multi-cam shoots.

This is definitely something that should be more common these days since everyone has a smart phone or a tablet. I'm a sound mixer and it helps me know how high I can have my boom. I don't need to walk to the camera and get in the way. With a combo of those phone holders you can strap around your arm, this is a match made in heaven. You can set your camera, do your lighting and just look at your phone. No need to walk back and forth.

1/4-20 adapter doesn't work

The unit works great as far as transmitting video. But I can't mount it to my camera because the hole on the bottom isn't standard 1/4-20. And the coldshoe adapter that came with it won't fit either. Will be returning.

Great interface but limited indoor range in apartments

I used this once on a job with success. It was in a gym so there were no walls or obstructions in the line of sight. However, when I used it in my apartment, i could not go much further than about a floor below my floor. I ended up buying the Hollyland Mars Pro 400 which can work a few floors down. Of course, that one has a dedicated receiver and costs a couple hundred more.

Wifi signal works on large soundstage with lots of other RF. Very short lag. Image quality is very good. Would like app update for better scopes. Certainly a good value for money.

Effortlessly does what it's supposed to do

I love this product because it worked perfectly from the first time I tried it. Everything about it is elegant and effortless. Even the most grumpy old DPs on set grudgingly admit that the CineEye 2 is awesome and bulletproof.

This little thing is awesome because many screens around the production can watch the footage at once. The HDMI flow through and swappable battery are why I went with the 2nd gen version. Just tested it in a class production and seems to be great!

You can use an HDMI feed from a 4K camera, because all the camera's HDMI output can be set to auto convert 4K to 1080p or 1080p directly.

Are you able to use two of these and monitor the feeds from two cameras on the apps?
Asked by: Troy
If you were to use two Accsoon CineEye 2S Wireless SDI/HDMI Video Transmitters with 5 GHz Wi-Fi for up to 4 Mobile Devices (B&H# ACCINEEYE2S) then each mobile device would be connected to either one or to the other. While up to four mobile devices can pair with a single transmitter, each receiving mobile device (e.g. an iPad) can only connect to one transmitter at a time.

What's the difference between this and the regular 2? Also, can the signal be picked up by a tablet over Wi-Fi?

With the Accsoon CineEye 2S Wireless SDI/HDMI Video Transmitter with 5 GHz Wi-Fi for up to 4 Mobile Devices the S means it has SDI, which is an added feature over the 2. Also, this broadcasts up to four devices like Wi-Fi tablets.
