Domke 1" Web Camera Strap with Swivel Quick Release (Tan)

I don't have a D5300, but looking at images I think straps with the loop connection are more appropriate. Domke's metal ring and leather connection is great for cameras with metal eyelets but would be awkward on the D5300 because the strap ring must rotate 90 from its intended orientation to attach to the camera. Seems like this would put twists in the strap and the leather would become an obstruction to freedom of movement. I probably would remove the leather from the strap to use it on a D5300. I used both the 1 (Leica M3/Sony NEX7) and 1.5 (Nikon F) and they work great.
