Sporting a slim and portable form factor, the XF 27mm f/2.8 R WR from FUJIFILM is characterized by its updated exterior design and versatile 41mm equivalent focal length for everyday shooting. Now featuring a weather-sealed construction, this wide-normal prime also incorporates a manual aperture ring for intuitive and tactile exposure control, however an 'A' position can also be used for camera-based settings adjustments.

In terms of optics, one aspherical element is featured and helps to reduce distortion and spherical aberrations, and a Super EBC coating has also been applied to control flare and ghosting. Additionally, benefitting both photo and video applications, a high-torque DC coreless motor is used to realize quick, accurate, and near-silent autofocus performance.

Short normal-length prime is designed for APS-C-format FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras and provides a 41mm equivalent focal length.
Modestly bright f/2.8 maximum aperture benefits working in low-light, affords control over depth of field, and helps to keep the overall physical design compact and lightweight.
Pancake form factor measures less than 1" thick for an ultra-portable, versatile design.
One aspherical element limits distortion and spherical aberration in order to realize greater sharpness and accurate rendering.
Super EBC coating has been applied to individual elements to reduce lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions.
High-torque DC coreless motor provides especially quick, precise, and responsive autofocus performance.
Updated physical design incorporates a manual aperture ring with a locking 'A' position for intuitive, tactile exposure control.
Weather-resistant design prevents dust and moisture from entering the lens and to enable worry-free use in inclement conditions and freezing temperatures as low as 14°F.
Rounded seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.

I love this pancake lens! It's small, lightweight, and captures beautiful quality images that are tack sharp with excellent color rendering. I'm currently pairing it with my Fuji XT3 and it's a terrific combination for street photography, as well as capturing photos of my family while we're out and about or hanging around the house. So happy I purchased this, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unobtrusive, high quality lens with a great walk-around focal length!

Outstanding normal-range performance

Had superb old version which I fried by running 52mm filters with a step-up ring, putting too much torque on the autofocus motor. Finally got the new item which is even better. Still use filters, but now they're the light B+W 39mm with the supplied little hood for max light weight. (My preferred Hoya HD filters are unavailable that small.)

I've had the original version for several years now, and really like it. The addition of the aperture ring makes this version even more fun to use. I think this will end up permanently attached to my old X-Pro2, for a great walking-around camera.

This lens is very light. It makes my XT-5 feel so easy to carry. I wanted it for a travel setup. I was very impressed with the sharpness. Photos taken with it really pop. It's not a good lens for closeup though. Glad I made this purchase.

The best Fujifilm lens feel ever.

If you have X-Pro body, get this lens. One of the best combo. The size of this lens really small and the sharpness amazing.

Had the old version and loved it, but I work with 52mm filters in the field, so I used a 39-52mm step-up ring to accomodate. Bad boy! Took about six months for the extra weight to fry the autofocus mechanism.... New lens also focuses the same way so the same problem might occur. Be advised...

I was surprised by this lens. It is small, but very high glass quality. Image quality and colors are perfect, even with pixel viewing at 200X. I am very impressed by this quality and recommend it. Also, very very light weight.

I owned the original 27mm But one day it just ...

I owned the original 27mm But one day it just died. When I went online to see if I could find out how to fix this problem, I found many people had their 27mm just stop working. Do you know if they fixed this problem with the new lens? It was a really great lens and gave wonderful results and did last for several years. It was the first lens I bought and even bought it from B&H before I bought the camera.

They did make quite a few improvements to the overall stability of this lens in terms of build quality and operation so you should get more longevity out of this lens when compared to the previous version.
