Nanlite PavoTube II 6C RGB LED Tube Light (10")

Flexibility is key to the design of the PavoTube II 6C RGB LED Tube Light from Nanlite. Illuminate your scenes with this portable, 10" long, battery-operated, bi-color tube light, suitable for a variety of applications from your video calls to creating fill and accent lighting for video and photo productions. It outputs up to 169 lux of 5600K daylight-balanced light at 3.3' and features an adjustable color temperature from 2700 to 7500K. A great lighting solution for content creators, this tube light is ideal for hiding unobtrusively in small areas on a set, at home, or in challenging environments.

Powered by an internal rechargeable battery, this tube light will give you approximately 65 minutes of runtime on a full charge at 100% power. It is ready for worldwide use via an included USB cable that can be connected to any USB-C source, including power banks, for added runtime. Compact and lightweight, the PavoTube II 6C mounts via 1/4"-20 receivers or simply attaches to metal surfaces with its included set of metal plates. It also comes with a wrist strap for convenience and a carrying bag for storage and transport.

High-Quality Lighting
The PavoTube II 6C allows a myriad of color combinations to blend in seamlessly with ambient light conditions, match other fixtures, or express creative effects. A full spectrum RGB mode enables its red, green, and blue LEDs to select from 360 colors with hue control. It has a variable CCT range of 2700 to 7500K with a CRI/TLCI of 95/97, ensuring colors and skin tones are reproduced with a high degree of accuracy. Light intensity is adjustable as well, from 0 to 100%.
Onboard and Wireless Remote Control
The PavoTube II 6C's easy-to-use onboard display and buttons let you dial temperature from warm to cold (2700 to 7500K) or adjust hue and saturation in RGB mode. Go from cool to warmer tones and everywhere in between and find the right level of illumination for your scene. With built-in Bluetooth and a 2.4 GHz connection, it can be wirelessly controlled from your smartphone using the free NANLINK app. Control is also possible via the brand's separately available RC-1 and WS-RC-C1 remotes.
Magnetic Mounting and Portability
Giving you flexible mounting possibilities, the PavoTube II 6C is compatible with most T12 diameter accessories and features two 1/4"-20 receivers as well as powerful magnets for attaching to metal surfaces. You can mount this lightweight 9.2 ounces light in various lighting setups, especially when space is at a minimum or in a challenging environment, which makes it a convenient and portable on-the-go lighting solution.
Special Lighting Effects
With pre-programmed customizable special effects, the Pavotube II 6C makes it easy to simulate specific and creative lighting scenarios that can otherwise be tricky to recreate. Imitate different lighting effects including hue loop, CCT loop, INT loop, CCT flash, hue flash, CCT pulse, hue pulse, storm, police car, TV, paparazzi, fire, disco, bad bulb, fireworks, explosion, and welding.
Runtime and Charging
  • Battery life is 65 minutes at 100% of brightness, 2.5 hours at 50% of brightness, and 4.8 hours at 10% of brightness
  • Charge time is 2.5 hours to 100% and 2 hours to 80%
Impact Air-Cushioned Light Stand (Black, 8')

This aluminum Impact Air-Cushioned Light Stand rises to a height of 8' and folds down to 29.6". The stand has sure-twist section locks and 4 sections and will support up to 8 lb.

If you forget to tighten any section with your light mounted, the light slowly descends, thanks to the air-cushioned action. This useful feature saves equipment and fingers from harm during busy photo sessions.

    Great Little Lights

    These are great little lights. I haven't put them through a torture test yet, so I can't review battery life or brightness, but they're well made and easy to use. These are accessory lights, so don't expect them to light an interview and you'll probably be fine. The stands included seem cheap and probably useless, but a nicety nonetheless. I wish the directional accessories were more like barn doors, but at least they'll flag off some light. Better than nothing.

    Really like the Nanlite products. However be warned, these Pavotubes only last about a year before completely dying. I use them as a hair light for interviews. Compact, lightweight. They don't last.

    Can product be used while connected to USB power source to extend use time?

    THE Nanlite PavoTube II 6C RGB LED Tube Light (10") can run longer while plugged into a PD battery. But it will only last longer. It will eventually drain both the internal and PD battery.

    How many amps of power do I need to get this light not to pulse over 80%?

    The specs call for the power supply to provide 15 volts, and the charge cable supplied is USB-C, which can provide up to 20 volts. Plugging it into USB-A with an adapter might not be supplying enough power.

    A 1A 5V charger is a rather low powered USB charger. More powerful chargers can charge faster. The manufacturer lists the recharge time as 2.5 hours.

    If you visit the manufacturer's website and download the new "PavoTubeII6C_V1.00.11" firmware (or later), then follow the online instructions and install the firmware onto your Nanlite PavoTube II 6C 10" RGBWW LED Tube with Battery, it will add app control functionality with the NANLINK APP.

    What's the difference between this PavoTube 6C and the Pavotube II 6C?

    Nanlite only has one 10-inch tube light, which is named the Nanlite PavoTube II 6C. The Nanlite PavoTube 6C 10" RGBWW LED Tube with Battery, B&H # NA152017, is simply missing the "II" in the name and should be corrected shortly. If you visit the manufacturer's website, as of the time/date of this reply, they only have the Nanlite PavoTube II 6C listed as their 10-inch RGBWW LED Tube light option.
