General Features

The AQCOLOR Advantage

BenQ AQCOLOR technology delivers "Accurate Reproduction." This translates to the display of color precisely as it is intended to appear. Led by a color expert, the BenQ team took part in the ICC and ISO to establish color-related standards and implementation guidelines.

Industry-Standard Color Performance

BenQ is dedicated to absolute color accuracy. The PhotoVue series displays deliver industry-standard color performance for photo and video editing.

Color Space Coverage

COlor Precision

The 16-bit lookup table (LUT) improves color blending for precise reproduction. Delta E ≤ 2 in Adobe RGB and sRGB color spaces assures accuracy.

10-Bit Color Depth

Access more than one billion colors, natural shading, and smooth color gradation with the SW271C.

Color Uniformity & Consistency

Create with confidence. Enjoy consistent color accuracy across multiple displays and throughout each panel.

Uniformity Technology

BenQ Uniformity Technology offers screen-wide precise color from corner to corner. This is accomplished by meticulously fine-tuning hundreds of sub-regions on the screen for balanced brightness and absolute confidence.

Multi-Monitor Color Consistency

Stop adjusting and start creating. Identical color levels in multi-monitor setups save times making tedious refinements and frees time for creativity.

Hardware Calibration

Adjust the internal image processing chip without changing the graphics card output data. Displayed images match the original content without impact from the graphic card settings.

Palette Master Element Calibration Software

Use Palette Master Element and a calibrator to customize color settings or maintain the display's color at its optimal state.

Factory Calibrated for Out-of-the-Box Color Accuracy

The SW271C is out-of-the-box color accurate. Each display arrives with its unique factory calibration report.

Hi there Stephen, this is a great question. M1 and Palette Master Element are not currently supported. BenQ has verified the root cause (which is not related to BenQ’s design) and is now working on a firmware solution to get this issue resolved for compatibility.

The BenQ site does not list either the SW271C or it's 31 inch sibling as being compatible with an M1 MacBook Pro running Monterey, but that FAQ was from earlier in the year. Are both these monitors fine with the Mac? Also, how would you hook up two of them to a MacBook Pro M1 and keep them both calibrated and looking the same ?

The BenQ SW271C can be connected via USB-C to any modern Mac. Keeping screens calibrated, regardless of platform, requires a calibrator device.

As previously stated by others, this monitor comes with several cables, including USB-C, HDMI, and DVI. You won't need to provide your own. You have native support. If you wanted to use the other cables, you'd need a USB-C to HDMI or DVI adapter.

I've just bought this monitor. Works fine when connected via USB-C to my macbook pro 2017. However colors start looking a little oversaturated when connected via HDMI. Is it normal?
Asked by: Ivan
Yes, this may be part and parcel of the different connection types. The computer may be outputting to a different profile than needed, or the monitor may be using a different profile over HDMI. When switching cable types, a bit of adjustment is usually necessary.
