Upgrade your shots with smooth, precise motion using the HeadPLUS v2 Pan and Tilt Head from edelkrone. This updated sturdy aluminum and steel head supports a maximum equipment load of 10 lb. It can be mounted onto a tripod with a 3/8"-16 screw or paired with the SliderPLUS, SliderPLUS PRO, SliderONE, Slide Module v2/v3, DollyONE, DollyPLUS, FocusPLUS PRO (new and old models), or the laser module for smooth, accurate, sharply focused pan-and-tilt sliding shots.
The v2 head can be precisely controlled via the edelkrone smartphone app or it can be moved manually. When mounted on the SliderPLUS or DollyPLUS, you can track objects automatically to produce dramatic motion shots such as parallax effects. The head can also be programmed for time-lapse or special effects shots by recording motions and repeating them.
You can also purchase the Laser Module which can record the distance and location of your subject, allowing you to track the object while in motion. The head also has a LANC port which allows you to trigger your camera's shutter with a separately available cable. The head folds flat, which makes it easy to store in a production bag. The HeadPLUS v2 also includes an L-bracket with 1/4"-20 mounting screw for your camera. You can power the unit with a separately available AC adapter or optional V-mount, Gold mount, LP-E6, or NP-F battery plates.

edelkrone HeadPLUS Reviews
My Surrogate Camera Operator
I use the HeadPlus V2 to operate a remote camera, completely wirelessly and battery-powered, when I'm bound to an operating station for multiple cameras, recording and streaming gear. It's like a PTZ camera, but without the need for control and video cabling. I put it in a balcony or at the rear of the venue, where it is impractical to lay cables. It's only Bluetooth, but works well at 50' if there's a line-of-sight.
Great addition to the Edelkrone products
This pan tilt head is a great addition to the Edelkrone line of products. It allows one to great extend the motion capable for a slider, the jib, or on its own. It will shift a bit when the motors park and the work around is to keep it looping while operating. I have reached out to the edelkrone team letting them know that adding a live mode where it doesn't park would be great to avoid this subtle shift. This this works with a Canon 70-200 F2.8 IS II and a 5D MK IV. You will need a plate of some kind between the lens collar and the mount. I used a Kirk KLP-525 plate. You will want to use the stabilization mode depending on how you have it mounted. I found it worked just fine when it was mounted directly to a tripod but when on a SliderPLUS v5 PRO Long that it needed the IS to smooth out the footage.
