While it is possible that the CF-9 that comes with the Leofoto TDC-32 Tripod Threaded Leg Collar with CF-9 (32mm) will fit other brands, it is not guaranteed. Really Right Stuff does not list their specifications for their Threaded Leg Collar and neither does Leofoto. They look similar but tolerances can be off which leaves no guarantee for the future.

Will these clamps fit any tripod with a corresponding sized leg or are the tolerances designed only for Leofoto tripods?
The Leofoto Tripod Threaded Leg Collar with CF-9 (25mm) (B&H# LETDC25CF9) is designed to fit around a circle of the indicated diameter. (In the case of the "25mm" listing, that would be 25mm.) It could indeed fit other brands' legs of the exact same diameter. You may want to use calipers to make sure your intended mounting point is indeed the appropriate diameter. If it is then it will fit. Another option is to measure the circumference of the tripod leg using a flexible tape measure (such as one for taking measurements for the fit of clothing) and to divide that measurement of the circumference of the leg by 3.14 to get the diameter.

Unfortunately no, the Leofoto TDC-40 Tripod Threaded Leg Collar with CF-9 (40mm) will not fit the RRS Ascend legs. None of the other Leofoto collars match up with the RRS Ascend either.
