FotodioX PRONTO Autofocus Adapter for Leica M to Nikon Z-Mount Mirrorless Cameras
Key Features
  • Leica M Lens to Nikon Z-Mount Camera
  • Shifts Lens up to 5mm with Autofocus
  • Ideal for 50mm and Wider Focal Lengths
  • Mappable Fn Button
The PRONTO Autofocus Adapter from FotodioX is designed to allow Leica M-mount lenses that be used on select Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras. This adapter can also improve near-range portraiture by allowing the lens to focus closer than its normal minimum focus distance. By placing space between the camera body and lens, focusing distance is shortened and the effect of magnifying your subject is created. Additionally, the adapter can be combined with separately available lens to Leica M-mount camera adapters to enable use of other lens types.

I would like to enable my Nikon AF-D lenses to auto focus on my Nikon Z body, which other adapter is recommended to adapt from F-mount lenses to Leica M body?
Asked by: Jian
Technically you could adapt ANY lens that has an adapter to Leica M-mount to this adapter to get autofocus... so to adapt a Nikon AF-D lens you just need to attach a Nikon F-mount to Leica M-mount adapter to then mount on this Fotodiox LM-NKZ-PRN to get autofocus (TWO adapters together). I wish Nikon made a more direct native AF-D to Z-mount adapter with autofocus but this is a workaround I suppose...

Have 28mm & 40mm Minolta Rokker manual lenses that I'd like to use with this but is there a 'crop' factor involved?
Asked by: Keith
My mistake in not mentioning these are Rokkor lenses made for Minolta CLE which is a Leica mount. Thanks though for answer to no crop factor.

Asked by: John
Fotodiox does not yet state that it works with the z9 and we do not have the camera yet to test compatibility. But soon Fotodiox may update their site to include it. And or it may need a firmware upgrade.
