Best lens for the price
Considering this is the best affordable option for fuji with a fish eye I 100% recommend this lens
Great, economical lens
I am very pleased with this lens. Great price. Understanding this is a manual lens, it takes a little more understanding of the camera and photography technique, it takes great photos. Images are very sharp. The lens looks and feels like quality. Would recommend. Fun for unique photos.
Good lens for EOS-M at a great price
I am using this lens on my M-3 with the EVF-DC1 finder. It pushes the boundaries when the 11-22 is just not wide enough. I also have a pair of M-5s and thought I would put it on one of them but since I wear glasses the DC1 finder allows me to see the level and focus zebras which is most important for this fisheye. I am posting a selfie I took in my painting studio using the wireless remote, note the distortion, it works for me.
Great bargain!
I bought this last year during the pandemic, and since I typically film local brass bands, there hasn't really been an opportunity to break it out. The last couple of weeks have been the first time, and I'm thrilled. The lens feels sturdy and solid. Image quality is nice and sharp-- on a MFT it's a 15mm equivalent so it winds up being more of an ultrawide-- the distortion is there and it adds a little 'je ne sai quois' to the image, but it's not really pronounced. For my purposes it's really wonderful to be able to get in close and still fit pretty much a whole band of 15-18 performers into frame, and they love it too. I don't know how well this would work for still photography (probably great, but I don't know yet) but for video work it's excellent and at $139 a heck of a great deal! Very satisfied.
Best Bang For The Buck
This little lens is devastatingly underrated. It's compact, sharp, and built like a tank. It's also quite stylish when mounted to my Fujifilm X-T2 and X-T3. The focus ring is nicely dampened and turns smoothly. The aperture ring turns smoothly as well, although I'd prefer a clicked aperture ring. Since the lens is so compact, it's extremely easy to turn both rings by mistake. Like other fisheye lenses, you CAN NOT mount a filter in the front or rear of this lens. The lens hood is solid metal and perfectly protects the giant front element. The lens cap is nice too. A push on style cap that slides over the hood. Be sure not to lose it, because it isn't easily replaced. Here's a sample taken with my Fujifilm X-T2. Shot at ISO 200 f/5.6
Great lens
You save about $600 using this. works great. nice & compact. Unless you have $$ to burn, manuals the way to go.
Great Fisheye
Great Lens has very vibrant colors This is my first fisheye and it has already given me great photos for my store's brand. Easy smooth focus. Very easy to accidentally get your fingers in the shot while focusing but that is to be expected with a fisheye. The lens has great picture quality and I haven't found any issues or limitations yet.
Fun lens!
What a great lens. It's really creative and completely manual, requiring you to take extra time to set up shots. It was a whiz in Europe for older buildings, and makes old cars look spectacular. I really want to shoot a skateboard-type video with it. Highly recommended!
