Dual 4K Monitor Support

Connect up to two 3840 x 2160 resolution, 60 Hz monitors through the DisplayPort and Thunderbolt 3 ports for enhanced multitasking efficiency. Alternatively, a 5120 x 2880 resolution and 3840 x 2160 resolution monitor may be connected to the Thunderbolt 3 and DisplayPort outputs respectively in single display mode.
Note:
Note: The 2020 MacBook Air and 13" MacBook Pro equipped with the Apple M1 chip do not support multiple displays. However, single display modes are supported through the Stone Pro.

Thunderbolt 3

Thunderbolt 3 is a hardware interface that utilizes the reversible USB Type-C connector. Doubling the speed of its predecessor, Thunderbolt 3 features a maximum throughput of 40 Gb/s when used with compatible devices. The connector also transmits data via USB 3.1 at up to 10 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort 1.2 allows you to connect up to two 4K displays simultaneously. Additionally, you can daisy chain up to six devices from a single Thunderbolt 3 port.

USB 3.1 Gen 1

USB 3.1 Gen 1 features a maximum throughput of 5 Gb/s. USB 3.1 Gen 1 and USB 3.0 are synonymous.

USB 3.1 Gen 2

Doubling the speed of its predecessor, USB 3.1 Gen 2 features a maximum throughput of 10 Gb/s when used with compatible devices.
