Big...Too Big?

Intended use is for video with 600mm lens. I have other Kase Wolverine filters and very happy with them. This one has a very thin housing ring, difficult to tell if it is attached but then the magnetic filter grabs it and it feels safe. Problem arises when i then attach the Kase 95mm magnetic lens cap: It is very keen to say the least, when removing it the filter came away as well. I think if the base ring had more heft this might not happen.

I purchased this to replace another Kase ND 1000 filter which came apart in the carrying case. The filters are convenient and easy to use but I have found that the magnetic lens cap easily comes off particularly when a filter is left on. When the cap comes off in your camera bag, the lenses can easily become scratched. I have just recently replaced a second scratched CPL filter because it was scratched in my bag. I wrote to Kase about my concerns but they haven't responded. This is the last time I am replacing a Kase filter and will revert to my NISI filters if I have more problems.

Yes, the magnetic adapter ring is included in the box with the Kase 112mm ND64 (6-Stops) Wolverine Magnetic Filter for Nikon Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S Lens. You can thread the adapter ring on the Nikon HB-97 Lens Hood for Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S Lens.

Yes, the Kase Wolverine Magnetic Solid ND Filter with Lens Adapter Ring will work on the Canon 70-200mm L f/2.8 lens. Please note that the Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM Z Lens uses an 82mm filter thread—make sure you order the correct filter thread size for you lens.

what's the difference between the Skyeye and Wolverine series from Kase?

The difference between the Skyeye filters and the Wolverine Magnetic Circular filters are the Skyeye filters have a filter thread on the outside frame, making them compatible with standard screw in filters. The Skyeye also gives you some of the same benefits as the Wolverine filters when it comes to color balance and clarity. The difference lies in the additional coating on the Wolverine Magnetic Circular filters and no filter thread on the outside frame, making them slimmer and lighter. The Wolverine filters have an additional nano coating which makes the filters scratch resistant, waterproof, anti reflective, easy to clean and toughened glass.

Is it possible to remove and mount lens hood while the magnetic adapter is attached to the lens thread ?

It will depend on the particular hood that is used with magnetic adapter that is included with the Kase Wolverine Magnetic ND32,000 Solid Neutral Density 4.5 Filter with 82mm Lens Adapter Ring (15-Stop). If the hood is very narrow, the magnetic adapter may get in the way and not allow you to mount it, but wider hoods that flare out, usually will work fine with the magnetic adapter on the lens.

Unfortunately no, the Kase Wolverine Magnetic Solid ND Filter with Lens Adapter Ring (77mm, 3-Stop) can only be used with specific Kase Magnetic adapters such as the one included in this kit.

Yes, the Kase Wolverine Magnetic ND64,000 Solid Neutral Density 4.8 Filter with 82mm Lens Adapter Ring (16-Stop) is part of the Kase Wolverine Magnetic system and will work with other Kase Wolverine Magnetic filters.
