Packed with 11 effects from the H9 Harmonizer, the Eventide H9 Plug-In Series Bundle offers producers, engineers, musicians, and sound designers the tools they need to push the boundaries of their sonic palette. It includes four reverbs, two modulators, two H3000 pitch shifters, an L-C-R chorus, a 64-tap delay, and a stereo distortion. All H9 Series plug-ins feature the Ribbon control for smooth morphing between two configurations of parameters, and many sport special performance functions. This bundle is compatible with macOS/Windows computers, and supports AAX Native, Audio Units, VST2, and VST3 plug-in formats.
The Eventide Blackhole is a reverb plug-in designed to provide versatile reverb and performance controls for producers, composers, sound designers, and audio engineers in portable mixing and project studios, and commercial facilities. It is based on a preset originally found in the Eventide DSP4000 hardware multi-effects unit. All controls are in a single window for fast parameter access.
In addition to expected parameters such as decay time, size, and pre-delay, there are controls for feedback, resonance, and high- and low-frequency shelving filters. Reverb tails can be modulated via the Mod Depth and Mod Rate knobs. Pressing Kill mutes the input signal and allows the reverb tail to decay on its own. Freeze mutes the input signal and enables infinite reverb, which can be modified with other controls. The Hotswitch button toggles between two configurations of settings, which makes it easy to set up different verse and chorus sounds. Real-time morphing between setups is possible via the horizontal ribbon strip.
The Blackhole supports AAX Native, Audio Units, and VST plug-in formats and is compatible with Mac OS X and Windows.
Eventide Spring is an H9 Series reverb plug-in designed to deliver the essence of a mechanical spring reverb along with tube-amp-style tremolo and expressive parameter manipulation, rendering it a welcome tool for musicians, producers, engineers alike. Keep the reverb sound traditional, or transform it with the fully adjustable tremolo, which can be placed before or after the reverb. In addition to the onboard Ribbon and Hotswitch controls, which allow you to morph or switch between two configurations of the parameters, live MIDI control is also possible.
Tap the tempo, set it manually, or sync it to your DAW session. Adjust reverb decay time, the number of springs, spring tension, and the size of the reverb tank, as well as set high and low damping. Managing your levels is easy, thanks to the input and output sliders and dedicated I/O meters. Ported directly from the H9 Harmonizer and available for download, Eventide’s MangledVerb is a plug-in designed to give you dirtier, grittier reverbs. It achieves these grimy tones by blending ambience controls with distortion, offering you the ability to create anything from warm, sonorous verbs to sonic cacophony.
The path of the plug-in starts with a variable pre-delay control that routes into a stereo reverb section. This, in turn, feeds the distortion and wobble controls, which pile on overdrive and subtle detuning effects, respectively.
Though MangledVerb excels in the mix process, it is also suitable for performance use with computerized live setups. One feature that facilitates this usage is the Ribbon control, which allows you to program two different settings and gradually morph between both of them on the fly. If you’d prefer to switch between different settings instantaneously, a programmable HotSwitch control lets you do this. MIDI control is provided for many parameters, including the Ribbon and the tap tempo feature.
Presets (180 of them) are included with the plug-in, some of them created by artists such as Chris Carter, Vernon Reid, Richard Devine, and others. This software is compatible with Mac and Windows computers and works in AU, AAX, and VST formats. An iLok account is required to activate MangledVerb, though you need not purchase the dongle.
Add a thoroughly modern yet familiar chorus effect to your productions and mixes with the TriceraChorus from Eventide. This downloadable plug-in gives you classic bucket-brigade style delay chorus, combined with Eventide's signature MicroPitch detuning, for interesting mix effects in your DAW of choice.
With multiple chorus modes and various ways to foster stereo effects, the plug-in will help you achieve anything from subtle depth enhancement to full-on psychedelia. With specific Ribbon and Hotswitch tools geared toward constant manipulation, TriceraChorus allows you to create real-time dynamic effect changes during a mix or computer-based live performance. The plug-in works in VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX formats and can be used on Mac and Windows operating systems. It will also work as a standalone on iOS platforms.
The Ribbon control for example morphs the effect between two different settings. Wielding this intuitive performance macro can be great for intensifying the depth of flange-like settings, changing the rate of modulation for transitional effects, or simply controlling the Mix parameters for momentary performance flourishes. Conversely, you can use the Hotswitch control to jump immediately from one effect to another for startling and sudden changes.
Ribbon and Hotswitch controls are saved per-preset, providing great flexibility in exploring the range of possibilities with TriceraChorus.
- Bucket-brigade delay-style stereo tri-chorus
- Chorus mode evokes the chorusing effect created by classic stompboxes
- Chorale mode produces lush swirling choruses inspired by classic rackmount tri-chorus units
- Chorus Mix adds just a hint of chorus, or turn it all the way up for vibrato
- Depth L/C/R controls the amount of modulation applied to each of the 3 voices from the LFO. Individual voices can be muted, allowing you to use any combination of voices
- Detune the left and right channels simultaneously by +/-40 cents
- Delay sets the amount of delay for the chorus effect; use it to thicken your signal or create a flange or slap-back sound
- Swirl adds stereo frequency shifting for a psychedelic flanger-like flavor
- Tone for shaping the high and low end of your signal. Remove muddy low frequencies or roll of high frequencies for a darker sound
- Ribbon lets you morph the effect between two different settings
