Designed and built in Japan, the straight-through viewing Opticron MM4 77 GA ED 18-54x77mm Travelscope is engineered with extra-low dispersion (ED) glass and fully multicoated optics to ensure accurate color rendition with improved clarity and contrast, while the large objective lens ensures views are bright and crisp from dawn to dusk or when viewing subjects at extreme distances on maximum magnification. For optimum eyepiece orientation, the tripod collar rotates up to 90° in both directions, and a 1/4"-20 mount makes it compatible with many tripods, quick release plates, and other popular support systems like window mounts. To help offset the weight of the objective lens glass, the chassis and body are made with a combination of magnesium, aluminum, and polycarbonate that maintains strength and stability.
