Dell WD19TB Overview

Connect multiple displays, external storage drives, Gigabit Ethernet, and more, all by running a single cable to your computer's Thunderbolt 3 port with the Thunderbolt Dock WD19TBS from Dell. This dock connects to your host system using an integrated 2.6' Thunderbolt 3 cable and comes equipped with one 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 port, two 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C ports, one of which supports DisplayPort, three 5 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one of which has PowerShare, one HDMI 2.0b port, two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, a Noble Wedge security slot, and a Kensington security slot.

Dell's WD19TBS provides up to 130W of Power Delivery for Dell systems, as well as up to 90W for non-Dell systems, such as HP, Lenovo, and Apple. You can connect up to four displays at 60 Hz, including one 8K display, one 5K display, two 4K displays, four QHD displays, or four Full HD displays. LED indicators keep you informed as to the dock's power and Ethernet status, while ower is provided by an included 180W AC adapter.

Please note that dual external monitors are not currently supported on systems with the Apple M1 or M2 chips. However, the M1 Pro and M1 Max will support dual monitors.

Dell XPS 13 9360 working fine 1 month in. Two displays @1080p plus laptop. My external displays don't have a higher resolution. One star off for high price.

We mainly have Dell laptops at work, but do have a few new MBPs with M1 chips and these docks are not compatible. We have been using these docks for the MBP M1 chips: WAVLINK USB C Dual 4K DP/HDMI Laptop Docking Station with 65W Power Delivery, Single 5K/ Dual 4K @60Hz for Specific USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 Windows and Mac (2 HDMI & 2 DP, 6xUSB, LAN, Audio)

The dock has an AC adapter, allowing the dock to provide power to the laptop through the integrated Thunderbolt 3 cable; up to 90W for non-Dell systems and up to 210W for Dell systems.

The WD19TBS comes with an 180 W power adapter (supplies 130 W to most Dell laptops, 90 W to non-Dell laptops).

The Dell Latitude 5420 supports a maximum of four external displays with the built-in display turned off, or up to three external displays with the built-in display turned on. You will not be able to have four external monitors and the built-in display with the Dell Thunderbolt Dock WD19TBS.
