FlipTech finger caps can be folded back and held with magnets to enable optimal dexterity when accessing the camera controls. The non-slip surface on each palm allows you to maintain a firm grip on your camera, tripod, or travel mug. A small storage pocket on the backs of the gloves will hold an SD memory card, a key, a handwarmer, etc. The full cuffs have touch-fastening wrist straps to seal out the chill.

Works as advertised. In the arctic circle taking pics and my hands are doing fine. Love the finger and thumb slot that allows using touch screen

Vallerret says that these gloves are “designed to the coldest winter wheater”. So I took a pair of these into the Arctic. The temperatures were between 5F to 20F. After five minutes with my fingertips exposed, my fingers froze and I lost all sensitivity to the point where I could no longer feel the buttons on the camera. And it’s also got painfull. I had to run back to the car and warm my fingers again. So I put some merino liners underneath them and got back to outside, I couldn’t stand 5 minutes again. There’s no miracle on this. It sounded like a great ideia to have your fingertips uncovered, but that’s not how it works on extremely low temperatures. The gloves are solid, well build and have some good features, but the main concept behind them, simply doesn’t work.

The Vallerret Tinden Gloves can be cleaned by wiping them with a cloth. If necessary, you can hand wash your gloves but do not tumble dryer. The gloves have 100% merino wool lining, and the wool may shrink or twist during wash if not delicately handled.

They have the same insulation as the other fingers, however, it is impossible to work these like a flip because the magnets that are supposed to hold them out of the way - don't work. They are either to weak to hold them back or the fabric of the glove makes it impossible
