The base of the tripod can fit either in a standard 75mm bowl or on a flat mount with a 3/8"-16 screw. Having both options available means you can transfer the head from a tripod with a bowl mount to a flat mount slider.
To achieve proper balance, the NH10 head includes a snap-on/off camera plate that can slide up to 1.2" of fore/aft adjustment, and it features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 camera mounting screw options. The screw and locating pin are moveable to orient the plate on the camera to achieve the best possible balance. Once the camera is balanced, the continuous counterbalance and pan/tilt drag controls provide smooth movement. On the side, there are 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads to mount a variety of accessories such as a light, monitor, or extension arm.
Included with the NH10 is a pan handle that can be placed on the right or left side of the head by screwing it onto one of the mounts. The LED-illuminated bubble level helps to level the camera on uneven surfaces, even in low light.
