Add two 4K displays to your workspace via a standard 5 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1/3.0) connection with the Plugable USBC-6950U USB-C Dual 4K Display Adapter. It connects to your Windows, Mac, or Chrome computer via a stowable USB-C cable (USB-C to USB-A adapter included) and offers two HDMI 2.0 and two DisplayPort 1.2 outputs. Users can choose to use two HDMI, two DisplayPort, or even one of each to achieve their goal. Each output will support up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz, plus 16-bit audio at 48 kHz. The device is bus powered as well to keep things simple. If you'd like to use more than two displays, up to three adapters can be used to connect up to six 1920 x 1080 displays. Also featured is DisplayLink technology.

Plugable USBC-6950U Overview

It connects to your Windows, Mac, or Chrome computer via a stowable USB-C cable (USB-C to USB-A adapter included) and offers two HDMI 2.0 and two DisplayPort 1.2 outputs. Users can choose to use two HDMI, two DisplayPort, or even one of each to achieve their goal. Each output will support up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz, plus 16-bit audio at 48 kHz. Laptop Compatibility
Compatible with most modern laptops and desktops running Windows 11, 10, 8.x, and 7, macOS 12 to 15, and ChromeOS version 100.x or later. The item features an integrated USB-C cable and includes a USB-C to USB-A adapter to connect the dock to your laptop. It is not compatible with Linux/Unix or ARM-based Windows operating systems.
Monitor Compatibility
Supports two high-resolution monitors up to 4K/60 Hz (3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz) when connected to displays that support the desired resolution. While backwards compatible, it is important to note that DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 2.0 displays can support up to 4K/60 Hz, while DisplayPort 1.1 and HDMI 1.4 displays can support up to 4K/30 Hz.
Software Compatibility
DisplayLink is a flexible and versatile technology that's great for most users' workflow. But there are a few scenarios where it's not the right fit such as gaming and HDCP (copy-protected) content playback from Blu-ray, Netflix, Prime Video, iTunes, Hulu, etc.

This item will NOT work for Mac Book Air

I bought this based upon a review that claimed it would work with mac. It might for some Macs but not a year old, apple silicon (M series chips), mac book air. The company site explicitly says it is for Windows. I found this out after purchase. Otherwise, it looks to be fairly high quality, it is a good price and B&H got it here quickly. I knocked a star off for there being a deceptive review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted this to add additional displays to a gaming computer and it was perfect! As a displaylink device it was plug and play on windows and passes through my GPU to the extra monitors at full speed. Having the option to use display port on both extra monitors is also a handy feature.
