Optical Performance
  • High 10x magnification allows for detailed observation of distant subjects
  • 32mm objective lenses off the performance similar to a full-sized model with the portability of a compact model
  • Compact roof prism light path keeps the optical tubes thin for easier handling and packing
  • Field-flattener lenses eliminate spherical aberration & edge distortion and correct off-axis comas & astigmatism for crisp and sharp images across the entire field of view
  • HD Optical System: Fluorite-containing glass virtually eliminates chromatic aberrations to enhance color fidelity and brightness
  • SWAROBRIGHT, WAROTOP, SWARODUR coatings
  • Ultra-wide 69° apparent angle of view greatly reduces the appearance of distracting hand-shake while presenting sweeping views of the scene in front of you—providing an immersive near-panoramic observational experience that requires very little head movement to see everything
  • Spacious 396-foot field of view at 1000 yards
Proprietary Swarovski Lens Coatings:
  • Highly reflective SWAROBRIGHT mirror prism coating optimizes color fidelity, contrast, and resolution
  • Anti-reflection SWAROTOP lens coating reduces glare and improves contrast
  • Scratch-resistant SWARODUR lens coatings protect the lenses to ensure views remain crisp and sharp
Use and Handling
  • Short closed-bridge configuration provides a stable platform for the internal focusing mechanism
  • Large knurled focus wheel is easy to manipulate in cold and wet weather or when wearing gloves
  • ±4 diopter adjustment on the bridge enables precise focusing even for users who normally wear corrective lenses
  • 53-71mm interpupillary adjustment range accommodates users of all sizes
  • Twist-up click-stop rubber eye cups for comfortable viewing with or without eyewear
  • Exceptional 18mm eye relief helps to eliminate eye strain, especially during long glassing sessions
  • 3.2mm exit pupil will still be comfortable to use in low or fading light conditions
Construction Details
  • Innovative engineering allows the focusing mechanism to fit precisely into a compact bridge without compromising performance for freedom of movement
  • Lightweight and durable magnesium housing
  • Nitrogen filled for fog and waterproof performance
  • Iconic Swarovski textured green armor provides impact resistance while offering a slip-resistant grip
  • Nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof to a depth of 13 feet and resistant to internal fogging when moving between extreme changes in temperature or environmental conditions
  • Broad -13 to 131°F operating temperature range
  • Compact design is less than 6" long and about 5" wide
  • 22.8-ounce weight is almost half a pound lighter than the 42mm NL Pure model
Included Accessories
  • Cleaning kit: Users get a brush and soap to clean the armor and preserve its look while adding longevity
  • Universal comfort strap prevents fatigue with an ergonomic design, wide neck section, water-wicking materials, and a simple, yet effective, bayonet catch connection
  • Functional side bag keeps your binocular close and ready for fast glassing on the go with a 2-way zipper that wraps around three sides for full and complete access; includes a carrying strap
  • Tethered one-piece ocular rainguard and objective lens covers protect the lens surfaces without the fear of losing them when using the binoculars; special objective cap connection eliminates unsightly rubber retention rings for a refined and seamless look

Swarovski NL Pure 10x32 Reviews

Excellent lightweight binoculars with a couple of  annoying

I have the 8x32 model which are excellent (but with the same flaws) but my bird watching changing to longer distances to the birds and the 8x were just a bit shy for this, so went up to 10x. I wanted the very wide FOV the 8x provide, but I have gone back to bird that move less but are further away. Though narrower than the 8x 450ft the 400ft of the 10x is still very wide, and flat from side to side. The sharpness is as good as it gets - very important to me as I am wanting to decode leg bands on often small shorebirds. Light gathering is amazing, also very useful even in the open on overcast days to distinguish colors. Carrying them for hours in the field is not an issue even in the hand due to their light weight, just a couple of fingers is plenty so gripping fatigue. Highly recommended for serious work. There are two extremely annoying flaws though. First and foremost is the ludicrous strap attachment. I don't think I have ever seen a worse over-engineered design. It is extremely difficult to get the strap attached to the barrel and even harder to remove it. I prefer to carry bins in a small waist pack in field work where I don't expect to be constantly using the bins. This means they don't interfere with my camera strap. When using them more frequently I sling them; in these circumstances I'm often not carrying my camera or just live with the inconvenience of 2 straps (yes I know about, and have had, Cotton Carriers). So with my ELs I fitted small clips and could remove the strap in seconds. Not so with the ELs, so if I use a pouch I have the straps dangling down and catching on stuff when I pull the bins out. Secondly, that attachment spins. This allows the strap to twist. Just carrying the bins the straps twist on themselves and are no longer a flat strap. In a couple of hours of use I will have to unwind them 20 or 30 times. I've never had a pair of bins where this has been anything but a very occasional issue. If the very highest standard of glass was not a real issue this would be a dealbreaker when buying new bins. Of course this system prevents the use of any aftermarket strap. The other flaw is the objective lens caps. They are rubber and clip to the front of the barrel - you can see the little black filler clips in the photo - and hang down when not in use. They last a year or less with reasonably active use, breaking where they clip on. Swarovski will send you replacements, but that's a pain to do repeatedly. Nothing on a $3000 pair of bins should wear out in a year or less. They also make using the pouch difficult as to avoid them being continually bent and thus breaking even more quickly they have to be placed on the lens, meaning every time you use the bins you have to take time to flick them off - and they are a tight fit. Even when slung they twist and rub on pants etc, causing stress on the attachment and ultimate failure. Lens protectors are for times between uses, or with rain, blowing sand etc, not something to use when actually using the binoculars. Knowing from my previous pair I was going to gets these two flaws I still bought the new ones, so while very annoying it's just something you have to live with. But Swarovski should produce a objective cover similar to the ocular cover and make it free for current owners, and reengineer the strap so it can't spin in full circles and have it with loop so the strap can be attached and unattached easily. That new strap should also be free to current owners. The strap and objective covers are the reason for 4 not 5 stars.

Good alternative to larger and heavier 10x42

I get a more than adequate field of view and light and contrast for bird ID in a smaller binocular. Great optics and I prefer a 10x that provides better low light brightness than a 8x bino. From a usage standpoint the flip open objective covers are great and the eyepiece cover can be removed completely and left in the case or at home. The only real defect is the bino strap that is a special one from Swarovski and it is badly designed the only way to keep the strap adjustment in place is to wrap the straps with electrical tape. For the cost of the binoculars Swarovski should do better by its customers.

On the Swarovski website the EL 10x32 is no longer offered, yet you have it. I am looking at the NL 10x32 and wondering how the two models compare and if the NL is a replacement model for the EL?
Asked by: kim
So in terms of quality the NL's are slightly better. Especially in low light situations. It's a newer version, so better optic's, and coatings.

On the Swarovski site, it looks like the EL 10x32 is not offered anymore and the NL Pure 10x32 is the replacement?? what is the difference between these two models, since you are still offering both?
Asked by: kim
The NL Pure will offer better color quality and ergonomics, along with a much wider field of view, than the EL.
