I think it depends on your use case. I picked activation card as I could activate on two PC if desired and keep the card in a safe place. If I need to deactivate I can.
While USB dongle if you need to edit on the go you have to make sure you keep track of it and don't break it. If you are only planning to edit at one work station and it is going to stay at that desk I don't think it matters.
The key could be nice if you need to use lots of different PCs to edit. My understanding is the USB key has to be plugged in every time to activate studio. If I am wrong about that it changes the equation.

This is the full version of Davinci Resolve. The activation key is a physical card with a activation code on it. You will not get a link sent to you.

May I use the same activation card to install DRS in two computer, one with Windows and another Mac M1? If I deactivate the license prior to clean install, may I activate it again without any restrictions?
Yes you can. You are allowed to install Davinci Resolve software on up to 2 computers at a time. if you want to transfer the license from 1 computer to another simply deactivate the first and you will be able to install the software on the latter.
