Angler FastBox Overview

This Angler FastBox 24" Octagonal Softbox Kit bundles a convenient and essential lighting accessory with a removable polyester fabric grid to better control the light. It also includes the adapter necessary to connect the softbox to your Profoto A1 studio light.

Angler FastBox Octagonal Softbox (24")

The FastBox Octagonal Softbox from Angler is a 24" octagonal softbox designed to set up and collapse in a fraction of the time it takes to set up a standard softbox. With a single motion, it expands to snap and lock into a classic octagonal shape, favored by fashion and portrait photographers for even lighting and round catchlights in your subject's eyes. The silver interior amplifies the output from an on-camera flash, and the inner and outer diffusers create an even beam without hot spots. The FastBox has an adjustable 120° angle and features a twist lock stand adapter that can be attached to any standard 5/8" stud.

The separately available adapter rings allow the mount to be attached to on-camera-type flash units and Profoto-A mount or Godox V1 mount compatible lights.

Angler FB-G24 Fabric Grid for FastBox FB-24K Octagonal Softbox (24")

This FB-G24 Fabric Grid for FastBox FB-24K Octagonal Softbox from Angler measures 24" in diameter and is used to narrow the beam angle of the softbox light output. It also controls light spill and directionality while retaining the soft, diffused quality of light. Constructed from lightweight polyester, it attaches quickly and easily to the front of the softbox via touch-fastening strips and conveniently folds flat for travel and storage.

The grid is specifically designed for fast and easy installation onto Angler's FB-24K FastBox 24" octagonal softbox. The grid is ideal for portraits, fashion, and dramatic shots, where directional light is desired.
Shapes the Light
The grid narrows the beam and controls light spill without compromising the soft and diffuse quality of your FastBox. For extra directionality, add an optional honeycomb grid included in Angler's FB-24K kit (sold separately). You'll be able to direct your light at a specific spot and add some mystery and drama to your exposure.
Easy to Install
The grid easily attaches to the touch-connect strips on the FastBox and ensures modifying your light won't interrupt your shoot. The grid installs and removes in seconds so you can shape your light or add a dramatic effect without disrupting your workflow.

The lightweight FastBox and grid are perfect for travel or shooting on the go. The lightweight polyester fabric grid folds up to a compact size that will fit in the FastBox's carry bag.

Angler FB-CA FastBox Adapter for Select Profoto and Godox Flashes

The FB-CA FastBox Adapter from Angler allows any Profoto A1, Godox V1, or Godox AD100Pro flash head to be magnetically attached to an Angler FastBox for speedy and flexible lighting setups. This adapter also allows the use of the many accessories that are available for the FastBox, such as a 40° grid, a diffuser, or a color correction filter kit.

The FB-CA adapter locks into the FastBox with a simple twist and provides a firm and secure hold with a strong magnetic ring that matches the flash's circular head. This lightweight, durable plastic ring quickly attaches to Angler's FastBox Pistol Grip, which has a 5/8" receiver for light stand mounting or for handheld use.

This soft box is well designed and very easy to use. Lots of plastic couplings however, so only time will tell if it will last.

Not happy! Only used it a few times and it stained. Tried to clean it and wash it but stains will not come out. Unable to remove cover.

Does the Profoto A2 fit and lock into the mounting Profoto adapter ring or does the battery of the A2 prevent it from making contact with the mounting magnets and lock mechanism?

Yes, the Angler FastBox 24" Octagonal Softbox Kit with Fabric Grid & Profoto A1 Adapter can be broken down with the grid still attached. However, doing this may damage your grid and or softbox. It is best practice to remove the grid when collapsing the box.

If you already have the Angler FastBox 24" Octagonal Softbox with Grid, the correct adapter needed to use it with the Godox AD300pro Outdoor Flash is the Angler G1 FastBox Adapter for Godox AD300pro Monolights.
