The mystic silver colored aluminum magnesium chassis weighs in at just over two pounds and measures just under 0.5" thin, making the Galaxy Book Pro ideal for travel. In its thin, lightweight design, Samsung managed to put in an 11th Gen 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5-1135G7 Quad-Core processor and 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, which can handle productivity apps as well as everyday tasks. The 512GB SSD allows for fast boot times and app load times. While hardware is important, staying connected is also equally important. The Galaxy Book Pro utilizes Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) so you can connect to wireless networks with ease. Want to use wireless peripherals, such as a mouse? Use Bluetooth 5.1 technology to connect wirelessly to compatible devices.

The 15.6" AMOLED display provides deep black levels and vibrant colors. The screen features a Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution and up to 360 nits of brightness. Visuals are handled by the integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics. Need to output to an external display for a presentation? You can use the HDMI port or Thunderbolt 4 (which can output to a single 8K display). The display is combined with AKG stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support for an immersive viewing experience. You can also use headphones via the 3.5 mm audio jack. Windows 10 Home is the installed operating system.

Intel Evo Platform
The Intel Evo platform is a design standard that includes technologies that are built to enhance laptop experiences. Features include 11th generation Intel Core processors, integrated Intel Iris X graphics that accelerates photo and video editing, razor-thin bezels on screens, built-in Wi-Fi 6, and nine or more hours of battery life with Full HD displays. Thunderbolt 4 technology allows you to transfer up to 40 Gb/s with compatible daisy-chained devices such as monitors and storage drives using a single cable.
Performance
The system houses an Intel Core processor. Its quad cores can reach a stock speed of 2.4 GHz and be boosted up to 4.2 GHz.
15.6" Full HD AMOLED Display
The 15.6" display features an AMOLED panel for deep black levels and vibrant colors. The screen features a Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution and 370 nits of brightness for an immersive viewing experience.
Portability
Featuring an aluminum magnesium body, the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro weighs just over 2 pounds, making it an ideal system to carry when traveling and commuting.
Wi-Fi 6E
Wi-Fi 6E enhances traditional 802.11ax connections with the inclusion of the 6 GHz band, which works with compatible networks alongside the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies for fast and reliable wireless speeds. It is also backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi speeds.
Thunderbolt 4
Thunderbolt 4 is a hardware interface that utilizes the reversible USB Type-C connector. Doubling the speed of Thunderbolt 2, Thunderbolt 4 features a maximum throughput of 40 Gb/s when used with compatible devices. The connector also transmits data via USB 3.2 Gen 1 at up to 10 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort 1.2 allows you to connect up to two 4K displays simultaneously. Additionally, you can daisy chain up to six devices from a single Thunderbolt 4 port.
Battery Life
The 4-cell lithium-ion battery is rated for up to 15 hours on a single charge, depending on use.
Windows 10
Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.
Cortana
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Notebook, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information gathering skills.
Microsoft Edge
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.
Windows Store
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.
Windows Continuum
Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.
Xbox on Windows 10
Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift.

This laptop battery has been degrading since I bought it. The interoperability between Samsung products, like quick share and second screen do not function as promised. The computer gets super hot, the fan is REALLY loud, and the battery dies in less than 3 hours. I only use the charger that came with it. Can not recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this laptop to replace my MacBook Pro and leave the apple ecosystem. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase but the low screen resolution is definitely noticable. Coming from a retina display you definitely notice pixels on the Galaxy book pro. Wish they could have done a 1440p screen instead if they wanted to save on battery versus a 4k panel. The laptop is speedy and everything else is up to what I expected.

was really looking forward to having this laptop but after troubleshooting with samsung it was determined the touchscreen wasn't working. quite a disappointment and an even greater disappointment when samsung was out of stock and couldn't replace this faulty one.

Yes the bottom is think flexible plastic, would have like it to be more rigid aluminum. But it is light, and I only using it on a firm surface and not my lap. Battery life is decent.
