Seamlessly Converts iPad to a Laptop

This is a serious keyboard, not a flimsy will do in a pinch type. What makes it particularly good is three things: (1) the strong magnet that snaps in place and allows it to be attached and detached at will, (2) no wires to connect so USB port remains available, and (3) the keyboard folds and protects the screen so no additional case is needed. My use scenario is a business travel device that allows me to connect to my servers remotely and take care of any potential emergencies while traveling internationally and in more remote locations. Tablet alone doesn't work well since on-screen keyboard is not only awkward for more serious typing, but it also takes a large portion of the screen. Laptops alone lack ability to use local SIM/eSIM cards and connect to the local mobile networks directly (local WiFi works well for those who don't venture outside urban areas much). Using phone as a hotspot doesn't work well because most of the US plans that come with international access heavily throttle the hotspot usage to the point where even remote terminal sessions are barely usable. And having a secondary phone with the local SIM card only to use as a hot spot is awkward. This keyboard creates a system that is a great upgrade for those who would carry either a tablet or a laptop on their voyages.

The difference between this Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro 12.9" (3rd/4th/5th Gen, US English, Black) and the previous version is this version will be compatible with the 2021 12.9 iPad Pro. The 2021 iPad is slightly thicker because of the Liquid Retina XDR display.

Can you close the Apple Magic if your iPad has a screen protector applied. I am looking at the Moshi iVisor AG Screen Protector for iPad Pro 12.9 and wonder if the Apple Magic can close with the thickness of a screen protector? Has tried this? Thanks for sharing.

You should have no issues using a glass screen protector in conjunction with the Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro.
