It features a depth rating of 295', which can be upgraded to 426' for free upon request, and is equipped with a Surveyor moisture alarm and pressure sensor. Dual Ikelite manual connectors enable the attachment of optional external strobes via sync cords.

The standard eyepiece offers a full view of the camera's viewfinder. The housing provides access to virtually all camera functions via mechanical controls. It also has an ergonomic design with two grips that offer improved handling and attachment points for optional lighting arms. Built for durability, especially resistance to corrosion, the housing is constructed from anodized, machined aluminum and stainless steel.

The housing supports both the Z lens mount and the FTZ adapter, so you can use Z series lenses as well as your favorite compatible F-Mount NIKKORs. Lens releases for Z mount and FTZ adapter are provided. The AZ6/7II housing ships without a required lens port, though various interchangeable ports are available for different lenses.
