so far as i can tell these M.2 drives are not covered under a warranty. the automated WD systems dont acknowledge that WD makes these devices. Tried to contact WD about these but no luck there either. Tried Sandisk as well but no joy there. My failed just over 1 year from purchase. 1 star just for WD. My fail was likely bad luck.

SN750 or SN850 will do you well. I installed this as the primary OS drive on my laptop. I run Windows and Linux on it no problem. It is quick, and doesn't seem to overheat even in the small space. I like that it comes with TLC memory, so it should last. Comes with a good warranty.

Solid as a rock

Solid transfer speeds, solid temperatures, Solid price. I needed a SSD that can handle large file copies or exports without thermal issues and or without fluctuating transfer speeds to HDD standards when the transfer is large (talking 500 to 800GB file transfers). And this drives does exactly that. Very happy with my purchase.

WD does not actually have a 5 year warranty on this. its actually 1 year and their system will not even let you check that. after a year its dead to them. assume a 1 year only if you are choosing a ssd like this. I cant speak to other options. Note BH has been cool but its out of their hands. WD is shady on this. luck.

Are these class 40 drives?
Asked by: Daniel
The best answer is what the staff of B&H said in their answer. All I can add is Dell's class system is based on PCI and SATA Interfaces and have no relevance to this type of SSD. If you are a gamer, look at the read write numbers and the type of controller on the motherboard. To be sure, this a very good SSD, but there are faster SSDs out there. Do your research.

It is difficult to judge the space clearance allowed on your model. It would be suggested to reach out to Dell to confirm. The height on this module is 8.1mm.
