The L-Plate for FUJIFILM GFX 100S from Really Right Stuff is an Arca-type compatible L-plate that facilitates easier, more stable switching between horizontal and vertical shooting orientations when using tripod head. Laser-engraved center marks on the back of the plate help to keep the camera centered while mounted to the plate. The L-plate maintains complete access to the battery door and the camera's ports, without obstructing movement of the LCD monitor.

Really Right Stuff BGFX100S-LS Overview

The L-Plate for FUJIFILM GFX 100S from Really Right Stuff is an Arca-type compatible L-plate that facilitates easier, more stable switching between horizontal and vertical shooting orientations when using tripod head. Laser-engraved center marks on the back of the plate help to keep the camera centered while mounted to the plate. The L-plate maintains complete access to the battery door and the camera's ports, without obstructing movement of the LCD monitor.

The L-plate can be extended out from the body to gain more access to its ports if required. The CNC-machined plate has a durable Type II black anodized finish and features a QD (Quick Disconnect) socket for quick-detach strap systems and an integrated strap loop.

The bracket saved my camera

This bracket saves me from what could have been an ugly disaster. I got my foot wrapped in the tether cable and the camera was jerked off the table I had it sitting on while I was directing some folks on set. It slammed onto cement and fortunately the camera bracket took the first bang. My lens took a much more minor 2nd bang, still a bit ugly, but no breaks, no dents and the camera still performs. The bracket is precision tight, strong build, and helps in keeping the tether cable in place. I also bought the tether tools, Tether Tools TetherArca Cable Clamp for L-Bracket to keep the tether cable rigidly in place. Expensive, but beats a repair by hundred, if not thousands.

You feel pain only once when you buy RRS things. And then you enjoy the quality of craftsmanship and practical design for life [of the camera in this case]. I use it with the RRS ball-head I bought around 15 years ago, and it still works like new.

As usual, impeccable engineering and fit of the parts. It allows me the vertical placement of the GFX 100S for panaromic shots. Impressed that B&H had it, while RRS site had it showing on big delivery delays.

RRS has been around for what seems like forever - they make quality gear that lasts a lifetime. This L-Plate is no different - continues the top-shelf reputation of this manufacturer. Sure, you pay more, but it's the only plate you want.

As always RRS stuff is well designed and made. I like it has a storage for Allen wrench. Vertical part blocks USB port door a little bit. I resolved this problem by adjusting the distance from camera to the vertical bracket, so door can open easily.
