Thorough testing of my lens over many days revealed good to very good optical performance. The build quality is solid and feels nice to hold. Must be mindful of inadvertently changing the f-stop setting of the clickless aperature ring. This was a happy lens acquisition.

Yes, the 7artisans Photoelectric 55mm f/1.4 Mark II Lens for Nikon Z would be compatible for use on the Nikon Z7 Mirrorless Digital Camera. However, do note that the Nikon Z7 Mirrorless Digital Camera is a camera with a full-frame sensor, whereas the 7artisans Photoelectric 55mm f/1.4 Mark II Lens for Nikon Z is designed for Nikon Z-mount cameras that use the smaller APS-C 1.5x cropped sensor. so the lens would be the equivalent of an 82.5mm lens when used on the full-frame sensor in APS-C crop mode. Also note that this is a fully manual lens, so you will have to focus manually as well as set your aperture manually as there is no electronic communication between the camera and the lens.
