Modern Arabic Sound

The Arabic E-Oud captures the sound of an electric oud, and brings it to your DAW. The included Engine Player's interface makes it easy to work with the library, allowing you take advantage of this hybrid modern/ancient sound, and to unleash your creativity. ENGINE 2 Sample Player is included, but for full functionality, download Engine 2.7.0 or later.

Microtunings on Hand

The interface gives you access to the most important and commonly used microtunings in this style of music: Bayati, Rast, Saba, and Seka. Each tuning offers two variants (Normal and Syriac Church), as well as free choice of the root key. These integrated microtunings are very appealing to professional Maqam performers.

Keyswitch Control

The Keyswitches allow you to switch between the different playing techniques to create incredibly realistic performances. There are two types of keyswitches: latch and hold. While Latch keyswitches remain active after the key is released, Hold keyswitches remain active only as long as they are pressed and held by the player. After the key is released, the playing mode changes to the last selected Latch Keyswitch.

Included Sequences

Your MIDI controller's keyboard range is larger than the natural range of the instrument. So, outside of its range, Best Service has turned certain keys into triggers. Press the keys (color-coded green in the software's GUI), and you'll be able to play short musical sequences. These show off the oud in its most natural light and can be used in your compositions.
