Designed for the LS 60d and 60x LED lights, this Spotlight Mini Zoom from Aputure is a 2X optical projection lens. When mounted to the LS 60d or 60x, the combined fixture gives you the ability to completely redefine the shape of the light output by using the built-in shutters and drop-in iris. The Spotlight Mini Zoom also accepts m-size gobos. The 2X optical zoom lens can project a beam angle of 15 to 30° and provides a wide range of flexibility with a single tool. At a distance of 16.4' the Spotlight Mini Zoom can project an image circle of 4.6 to 9.2' depending on the zoom setting. The Spotlight Mini Zoom also pairs well with modern reflector technology, focusing the pin-point accuracy of the projection lens onto reflectors for unique lighting designs.

Aputure SPOTLIGHT MINI ZOOM FOR 60D/X Reviews
Perfect fit for LS 60.
I will never use a traditional source 4 light again. Heat less jelko light.
Worth every penny, and then some!
I bought this for use both with my 60d and my 60x. I must say it really exceeded my expectations. I used it with a 60d to front light a stage with full length windows behind, and the spot easily filled in the daylight that backlit the performer. I've also used the spot with the included gobos and iris to create interesting light spills in music videos. This unit is lightweight, sets up quickly and is very, very versatile. And it puts out a surprising amount of light. With the iris you can get a concentrated pin spot as small as one inch or as wide as 10 feet (depending upon your distance from the subject). I would say that this Spotlight kit is a must have for anybody serious about lighting.
Exactly what I needed compact and powerful
Game changing modifier with some quirks
As stated with many other reviews about this spotlight and it's big brother. I wish the barrel rotated, to give you the freedom to angle your patterns and cuts anyway you choose. Also limiting this freedom, is the rosette style locking handle. It will change your position ever so slightly as you lock it down. Pairing this up with my 60x I noticed a few things. If the Spotlight is put out of focus enough the bi-color leds "dirty up" what would otherwise be a clean projection. I sometimes mess with the spot and flood knob on the 60x to try and make it less noticeable. The focusing barrel is a bit clunky to set properly especially if the assembly is pointing downward already (gravity). Would've loved a mechanism similar to the fresnel 2x barrel design in order to adjust the focus here. The omission of a gel frame holder was a bummer but using Aputure's published dimensions on their site I was able to source one. You'll need it because from my visual tests, matching it up with sunlight coming through my window, it needed a 1/8 plus green correction gel to pretty much be identical. There is also some light leak due to the light having to sit in the outer most position of the lights mini mount slots. All in all, A great addition to any kit for expanded creativity but just be willing to work with the trade-offs for the price. You'll get addicted pretty fast to being able to throw light across a room in a very precise and confined way. I would love to see a slightly more powerful light especially bi-color for this modifier. With the ability to zoom this spotlight in and out vs it's bigger brother, it makes it alot more versatile and cost effective.
Excellent tool with one minor
Love this and the only beef I have is that the teeth of the lens don't allow you the precise up and down angle. You have to rely on the flex of a c stand arm to do that. :-( hope they update that somehow!
