The Context 2 Algorithmic Reverb Pedal from Red Panda is a digital reverb pedal inspired by rackmounted reverb units from the late '70s, '80s, and early '90s. Featuring eight distinct reverb algorithms ranging from common room and hall types to wild granular reverbs, the Context 2 is designed to provide a staggering level of sonic potential in a highly compact, pedalboard-friendly form factor.
This pedal includes seven controls for a wide range of sound mangling including blend, predelay, decay, high- and low-frequency dampening, modulation, as well as feedback, dynamics, modulation rate, and more, via control functions. MIDI allows for easy control and greatly expanded preset storage via either USB or a convenient multifunctional CTRL jack, which also enables tap tempo, expression, control voltages, and remote control. Two reliable soft-touch footswitches complete the package, and the pedal's small size makes it easy to fit onto a crowded pedalboard, on a desk for modular synthesis setups, or simply to take with you to your next gig. Whether looking to create some expansive space for your guitar tones, or generate clouds of head-turning, detuned grains, the Context 2 can deliver satisfying results.

- 32/64-bit floating point DSP at 48 kHz
- Stereo TRS input/output and CTRL jack for MIDI, expression, tap tempo, CV, and remote control
- Reverb hold/freeze
- USB jack for full MIDI control and up to 127 saved presets
- Web-based editor (Google Chrome only)
- Multicolor LED indicator for signal levels and mode selection
- Multimode analog or digital bypass (DSP, analog, analog + FX level, and kill dry modes)
- Takes a standard 9V power supply (not included)
HALL—Slower buildup with longer initial delay.
CATH(edral)—Emulates a large, reflective space for long delay times.
GATE(d)—Gated reverb with a non-linear decay.
REV(erse)—Reverse reverb which fades in louder and brighter over time, giving the impression of playing backwards. Modulation adds a wash of normal reverb.
PLATE—Bright, dense studio plate reverb, evoking wall-of-sound production techniques.
SPRING—Spring reverb based on 1980s reverbs. Decay length, frequency dampening, and tremolo intensity and speed are all adjustable.
GRAIN—Granular reverb based on Ursa Major SST-282 Space Station. Ideal for ghostly reverb, slow sweeping resonances, or a multivoice granular processor that creats clouds of detuned sound fragments.
