This Tilta Quick Release Top Handle, in black, is a durable, sculpted top handle that attaches securely to a cold shoe and provides accessory mounting points, in addition to a top handle grip for your camera. The quick release handle's features include two cold shoe mounts, one in the front with a spring-loaded safety latch and the second on the back. The handle also features a 15mm rod port and multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with and without anti-twist divots.
The aluminum and stainless steel handle attaches to your camera or cage using the included spring-loaded thumbscrew. The 15mm rod port features a locking lever to secure the rod in place. Make it easier to plug in your camera's HDMI cable when using Tilta's Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K cage with this HDMI Right-Angle Adapter. The adapter is designed at a 90° angle and attaches to the corner of the cage with a thumbscrew. This puts the male HDMI type A connector in place to plug into your camera, and the female HDMI type A end remains unimpeded.

Tilta's 12" Threaded 15mm Rod is a 12" rod with female threading on both ends. This allows you to use optional threaded rod adapters to extend the length. As a standard practice, Tilta chamfers one end of their rods and leaves the other end with a straight cut. The chamfering makes it easier to slide accessories onto the rod, while the end with the straight cut makes for a smoother rod join.
The rod is made from machined aluminum for a balance between weight and strength, and then anodized black for wear and corrosion resistance. Please note that there is no industry-wide standard for support rod threading, so when sourcing optional rod extenders, it is best to stay within one brand.
