The BoomBox Octagonal Softbox with Bowens Mount V2 from Angler is a 26" octagon-shaped softbox designed for use with monolights, flash heads, and LED lights with Bowens reflector mounts. The lightweight and portable BoomBox is an indispensable accessory used for quickly setting up a light in the field or in the studio. It opens up like an umbrella and eliminates time-consuming softbox setup with an integrated speed ring and flex rods.
The BoomBox features a reflective silver interior that amplifies the light and throws a punchy, specular beam, ideal for when an image needs contrast and sharp detail. Its removable front diffuser and inner baffle provide a soft wraparound light great for portraits and fashion, while its classic octagonal shape directs light and prevents spill, while providing natural-looking catchlights in your subject's eyes. It also features a removable deflector plate that transforms the box into a beauty dish-style light and helps eliminate potential center hot spots.
The BoomBox is as easy to open as an umbrella. Great for in the studio or on location, the BoomBox folds up just as quickly as it sets up. The integrated aluminum support rods are attached to the umbrella mechanism to provide rigidity to the box, so it keeps its shape when attached to a light stand or other support, even in demanding outdoor conditions.
The BoomBox is outfitted with a Bowens S-type 144mm adapter ring for use with a large variety of monolights and studio flashes. Optional 144mm rings are available for use with Broncolor, Elinchrom, and Profoto lights.
